Being that things are EXTREMELY slow on D#%#'s side (not that I'm complaining:)), this forum seems to be the "Haunt". After researching my 1st posts (as if there is more than one 1st), I came to realize exactly how much I've learned (I don't yet know what I don't know, to plagarize George Carltin). It's ironic how one becomes "frustrated" with "stupid" questions when they once asked the same questions themselves. I thought it might be introspective and perhaps HUMBLING:) to see "where" we all came from. Any other "players" want to join in? SG

Hello all, I am postin from Sunny LA! on vacation, it is 75 degrees and sunny here, when I left home, my breath froze on the the windsheild! I may never return!

I remember my first post pretty well. I had bought my membership and followed the card programming instructions to a "T". It said if your card had x amount of updates to find a script with the appropriate updates etc. Problem was.....my receiver had been on the shelf for 6 months and my card was @ 30 updates. So when I tried a script with 30 updates.....no TV. Of course everyone else was @ 53. New Guy straightened me out and I have read read read ever since..lol.

You know, it never dawned on me till you mentioned it! Nobody ever answered my first post! Now I am depressed!
That's ok, I somehow managed to learn anyway! If it weren't for the B.S. forum I'd still be a deck hand!!

And also, the air here does suck, but I am a little outside of LA proper and the temperature and sun makes up for the ability to breath! But one more week and it's back to the salt mines!

Plus coop I think I was speaking in "tongue". Thanks for finding that even thought I don't think I have changed that much...still ask stupid questions.
