hughes gold edition -is it plus compat

i just aquired an hughes gold edition . what i would like to know is it plus compatible . meaning will read all 3 of the sats without the use of an ab switch. I have the multi switch that came with the eliptical dish and all 3 correct
LNB's. any help will greatly appreciated.

It depends on whether it is a 5th gen or "E" series which are the Plus units. The "gold" designation was also given to older units, so you need the exact model number, for example HIRD-E45. The Plus units all had a "E" on the last level so if yours has a A,B,C,D it is not a Plus unit (example HIRD-D1).
