many here may not take much stock in the opinion that have being that im a woman.........an so many will say what does a "girl" know about football........well about x's and o's........not a thing but.....about the money and power......yes there is a big money scheme that goes on in the NFL.......SALARY CAP=CONTROLS WHO WINS..............yesyesyesyes..........belive it....salary cap control......talent level....coaching level..... the nfl COMMISION controls who is able to achieve standard winning seasons...........to the untrained eye many will never notice this occurring and it doesnt take a football person who knows football to recognize this(im not) but someone who knows the POWER OF MANIPULATION when it comes to money and how it is used(i do).............however here are my predictions on this years superbowl....

sure shot....oakland vs. minn.

potential....if and only if the saints beat the vikings(highly unlikely) the saints will go to the super bowl.....(vegas will win a CANYON full of money if the saints go)....everyone will bet against them....if they go they will win no doubt....can you say DESTINY....hehehehe...

if oakland doesnt go it will definelty be baltimore......sorry titians.....baltimore plays much better defense........according to espn...........i played on a state championship softball team (played centerfield)and our defense got us there.......sleeper this year r the giants and the saints....of course to go......

there it is.....oakland has the best team this year.......

Seems to me since the salary cap came into existence there is more parity in the league than ever before. Just look at the last two seasons. Anyone can win this thing. But that being said, I like the Titans and the ? ( did someone whisper the Saints in my ear? ). But then again what do I know about it. By the way, I'm a die hard Detroit Lions fan, all the way.

Well personally sampakalypse, I would have to say that robinhood's cheerleader looks better. She is showing all the shapes of her body unlike yours she is hiding her top. This may be due to the fact that the Saints are in the playoffs and the Cowboys are at home where they belong.

Iryland --
I do not question your knowledge of money and its control; however, i believe that the salary cap was devised to promote parity in the NFL, which it has done. Every team has to play by the same salary cap rules (San Fran included). The COMMISSION governs the salary cap, but it has no direct control over the outcome of ANY team's season. A winning season is determined by the proper mix of management (particularly salary cap management), coaching (there is no cap on coaches' salaries), talent, and team cohesion. It is true that the salary cap does place restrictions on a team's talent level, but this is just one of the 4 aspects that determine a winning season. If money/cap controlled the outcome of a team's season then we would all just be waiting on the formality of handing the Lombardi to the Redskins this season.

bottom line is bottom line.................the cap and how it is used determines each team's talent level..........i didnt mean the coaches..........but do you think a winning coach is going to leave a winning team to go to a losing team............i might not sound legible but its the pure truth.........i agree about the redskins.....thats why if the coach doesnt win next year he'll be looking elsewhere in a hurry(there's too much money involed in d.c.)..........thats how it works......coaches have been known to screw this up......good execution, billiant coaching, great talent and MONEY dictate the other three factors for a successful season.........bottom line........

The cap does determine talent level to a certain extent. The more important thing, though, is how each player performs despite his "price tag," and how these players fit together and perform as a team. Again, if money were the "bottom line" then the Redskins would be victorious because they had the highest paid roster.

Coaches -- unfortunately, their fates are usually determined by the owners, not their own desires. The Redskins fired their coach with 3 games left in the season. Robiskie is an interim coach, who i highly doubt will be back next year. In Dallas, shockingly, Jerry Jones "fired" Jimmy Johnson (1994) after he won back-to-back super bowls.

And yes, I completely agree, good execution, brilliant coaching, and great talent (which MONEY influences), make or break a team's season.

ZCUBED....YOU SEE IM RIGHT.DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT THERE COACH WAS FIRED already......too much money involved and if the mob is involved then walla!!!!..........coach is gone ........now it is the up to the powers that be if in fact the redskins will be the team to beat next year......they were upposed to be the wild card this year behind the ny giants........hhhhhhhhhmmmmmm..........somebody SPENT alot of money over NADDA........in DC.........

Yes, the owners, often times, are the ones responsible for screwing up a perfectly good football team! Money is a big part of that, but it is also their EGO. They want to be the best, and they think they can just buy it, but it doesn't always work that way. Sometimes they get too focused on the money that they lose sight of the other factors that determine the success of their teams.

I think the Redskins need a new quaterback before they're a real threat, not to mention a new coach. Next year, its COWBOYS ALL THE WAY!!!

Raiders will give all a run for there money !! but in the end it will more than likly be the Titans.
And Yeah Miami has beaten the Raiders the last 3 times they have met, But: the Raiders are 15 and 8 against Miami over all and they are 5 and 1 on monday nights against Miami. also The Raiders have a winning record against most teams in the NFL with the exception of KC (39-40) Phily (3-4) but beat them in a Superbowl ! and Baltimore (1-2)

Soo much for Raiders fans not knowing anything !!

I do like the Miami Dolphines, good "D" but average "O" if anyone can beat the Raiders it will be Miami !!

On saturday at 1:00 pm i will be at the network associates coliseum!!! i will then witness the destruction of the dolphins!!!! The last three years the dolphins have come into oakland and whupped the raiders!! A trend? That is great but now lets look at another trend. The dolphins have made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs in each of the last 2 years!! in the 99 playoffs the dolphins got lit by denver!! Denver 38, Miami 3. in the 2000 playoffs the dolphins got absolutley destroyed to the tune of 62-7 by the jaquar's!!!! so i beleive that the Raiders will continue this trend on saturday and light up the Dolphins 51-3

GO RAIDERS!!!!!

If anyone needs a good QB it's the Cowboys. :-)

I think the Titans will win the Super Bowl, but I'm pulling for the Saints.

I have to think that the Baltimore Rvaens will win the superbowl with that defense they have. I know Dilfer is not much at quarterback but with that defense they do not have to score that many points. I think the Vikings will come out of the NFC because what team in the NFC can stop Moss. I am no way a Ravens fan though. I like the Cowboy cheerleaders the best followed by the Tampa Bay Buckaneers

looks like nobody's talkin' Ravens 'cept me and smoothie (up)...gotta disagree with lyrland about the cap though...look at baseball ... the winner is the guy with the deepest pockets...the nfl would never have had a super bowl winner from St. Louis if there wasn't a cap. In the sports where there is a cap anybody can win cuz they are all equal in a money sense and the best team is assembled thru shrewdness... gotta love a woman that watches football though...Ravens plus 6!

We will find out this weekend, if arguably the best secondary in the league can stop Moss. But, stopping Moss I think, depends mostly on Robert Smith's ability to run and catch the ball.

Vikes vs. Saints

Take the OVER !!!!

Vikes have no DEE, and the Offense can put up alotta points if they show up, and they will.

I would give the 7 1/2, but I'm not even sure Vikes will win. Don't do it !!!

Can I predict the Super Bowl ? No way, NFL wants paroty, and they've got it. I pick'em one week at a time.

Sure thing. Vikes will be in San Antonio in 5 years.
Tagliabu (sp ?, but who cares ?) was here in Minnesota today begging for a taxpayer funded stadium for the Vikes. "BITE ME !!!". San Antonio can have 'em !!!

IMHO...My beloved Raiders fall to the Titans, who will roll tomorrow. Giants win tomorrow, and lose to Vikings next week. Superbowl will be Titans killing Vikings with Moss having a hissy-fit and getting ejected and fined (like he cares). I hope I'm wrong..

Just as I predicted earlier in this thread. Both the Vikings won over the Saints and the Ravens beat the Titans. I am telling you these are the two superbowl teams mark my word. I can't see whoever wins between the Giants and the Eagles beating the Vikings with Moss and I just can't see the Raiders beating the Ravens with that defense they have. The Super Bowl trophy is going to Baltimore i do not care how bad Dilfer is because with that defense you do not have to score that many points.

Titans????????????????????

The Raiders will show them how to beat the Ravens. As for the two teams left in the NFC.....HAHAHAHA!! The Super Bowl champ will be the winner of the Oakland game. RAIDERS!!!!

The NFC is weak this year.......

RAIDERS!! RAIDERS!! RAIDERS!! See you guys at the AFC Championship game......I got my tickets.

But you guys can put the Raiders down all you want for this game. I am hoping that everybody in the media talks about how much better the Ravens "D" is.......so the Raiders "D" will have something to prove. You see what the defense can do when they are needed to step up. Did someone say SHUTOUT. So the Ravens stopped Eddie. Good for them.....but can they stop the committee??? The Raiders don't have just ONE back to POUND it up the middle.

We will see on Sunday.......after all....I had to change my girlfriends baby shower one week back so I could help decorate and not miss the AFC championship OR the Raiders in the Super Bowl.
