Right now I'm getting the DTV feed from bird 101 on one dish.
I'd like to know if it's possible to get the feeds from the birds located at 91 and 119 on a separate Dish 500.
I have seen a layout where you can get all three birds on a DSSII dish but I'm not sure if that's the Direct Plus Elliptical or something else.
If anyone can let me know how to get 91 and 119 on the same dish, either the Dish 500 or the Elliptical I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks,

The Elliptical dish has three usable positions, 101, 110, 119...the spacing between the satellite slots is 10 degrees (91-101), 9 degrees (101-110), and 9 degrees (110-119).
I don't think the dish has enough spread to go from 91-119 without some mechanical modification (widen the LNB mount), but it might be possible. I'd bet there's gonna be some signal loss as well.
If you use the 4X4 multiswitch that comes with the dish and maybe put in an A/B switch for the 91 satellite....perhaps there is some other multiswitch/combiner thingy that'll let you further integrate the signals (assuming they're compatible with the usual DTV stuff). I think Empire or Stark may have the apparatus (if it's available).
I'll ask around, if I get any other information, I'll pass it along.
Hope this helps, Good Luck, Happy New Year !

I saw a pic last nite of a 30 or 36 inch dish with 9 LNB's for Star Choice , Bell Express , DTV , Dish and some KU sats . It was wild . I don't have the link handy . It was discussed at kusat in one of the threads . A reverse Grey Market thread of all things . It's out there , you just gotta look .

Holy Bouncing Kamungas! I had a neighborhood audience giving me the evil eye when I recently replaced my 18 inch round dish with the elliptical "para todos" dish for 101 and 119 sats.
I can see myself slapping that 9 LNB monster up on the pole, and waiting for the black helicopters to arrive...

Hex: If you just KNOW that's gonna happen, you'd have no choice but to add the Optional "Death Ray" feature on an Az/El base.
It might cost you a satellite slot though ......

I sent you a personal message so I could include the URL of a guy that has demonstrated how to do what I'd like to do but I have no clue which dish he's talking about when he says DSSII.
Please take a look when you get a second, your help is very much appreciated.

A DSSII system is made by Hughes. The dish and components are made by ChannelMaster. The dish, is basically the egg shaped dish. You can make, or have fabricated the mount(s) to add the extra LNBF's for the other sats.

Thanks, the diagram this guy posted makes it look so easy but I couldn't figure out which dish he was talking about.
Now that I know it's a channel master product, I know what he's getting at.
Many, many thanks for your help, always appreciated.

Does anyone know if a Terk 18" x 20" Triple LNB Satellite Dish (Brand/Model: TRK TRKS25) could get those three birds without any modifications? Also would any extra hardware be required? A friend with no real hardware experience is thinking about buying one and asked if it would be possible.
Thanks.

Or you could try a very simple procedure I read about and saw pics. Just tape a single LNB to the side of your 110 LNB, hook up your 91 sat reciever and check it out. You may have to place a spacer between the LNBs like a popsicle stick or something like that. I think the post I read the guy used a piece of cardboard. But there was enough dish area to pick up the sat at 91. Now I don't remember if he had a Dish500 or a DTV elipticle dish but it would be simple enough to try and see if you can get enough signal strength.

Well if you really want to look like NORAD HQ take a look at the photo gallery at multilnbdish.com
Here is an example:
