signal meter

I would like to find out about signal strength meters and where i can get one.
Will the aid in picking up the strongest signal,and how do they work.

You can get them at most loacl sat. shops...plug one end of it into your reciever, the other into your dish...the only real advantage in getting stronger signal (I think) is that it is MUCH faster than the signal meter in the IRDs...the ones in the IRDs are delayed a few seconds...these signal meters are not delayed at all.
