been "doing" my card on the home pc. now "doing D.N.// wife nervous. moved programmer to shop unit.
233mhz intel, 32 mb mem. Not reeeeally geek-oriented...
The problem(s)....
The programmer is not being "seen" by the computer (com1)
I've checked all i know as far as the cmos, motherboard jumpers, irq conflicts. in settings, no conflicts are shown on com1 (3f8, irq4)
i have nothing else in there..i haven't even hooked up my emp1 programmer yet..using talk31b, even tried the 31d.
while in the program, it says com1 at the bottom, but says "can't find card". when i type in a command (ie..c for calibrate, the cursor down there will flash momentarily, but the "c" never appears in the command string.
same program works fine on the pc @ home.
any ideas??? any?? help?
also, looks like i'll need a text editor on this one..."boxer was suggested, 32 bit, i think..take sugg's.
