I put emulation on hold After all doing the research, downloading info etc. It's just not perfected enough to suit me. Besides, I had a bigger problem, Ants. Want to know where I have been the past few weeks? Hunting down and killing ants, their queens, their families, thier friends. I'm just a blood thursty accountant, murderer.

The old technique didn't get em all this time.

Old Technique:

Buy Grants ant stakes, pry the back off so you can get the waxy stuff out. Put a small amount of the stuff on some wax paper, small piece of wax paper 2 inches by 2 inches. Then put a drop of honey or pancake syrup on it, put the stuff in a microwave for 20 seconds to soften up. After soft, mix with a screwdriver point until drop of syrup is mixed with Grants ant stake stuff. Put the mixure (which is still on the wax paper) near the ants. In two minutes they will come out in droves, turn the mixture black in a feeding frenzy. Don't pay attention to the mess, it will look ugly at first. Two hours later you won't see an ant. They carry the poisen food back to the nest, then carry off the dead and the rest die in private.

I screwed up this time, got ancious and sprayed, cut off the supply line and trapped some in the walls. This caused the extermination process to be extended for two weeks, instead of two hours. I had to hunt them down one by one and fight them to the death. And you have trouble with emulation. You don't have to live with being a murderer, you have it easy.

A1,

I heard from my sister's, boyfriend's, landlord's, neighbor, that the same syrup and microwave technique has been rumored to revive some damaged BS H cards?

Can you verify?????

LOL!

The Grant Ant Stake method works 100%, just don't spray first. You also don't need to use that much, take a flat blade screwdriver and cut out a piece the size of a dime, 1/8th inch thick. Very little syrup needed. The worst part of the program is that you see more ants than you can stand at first, then mysteriously, 2 hours later they disappear. Be patient, it may take more than 2 hours. After they disappear it's OK to spray, but, you don't have to.

We live in an old house by CA standards, 25 years old. Every year we have an ant outbreak, so does everybody else that I know. The method works and saves the cost of an exterminator.

Things not to do.

1. It's important not to spray the ant trail, they need to bring the bait back to the nest and kill the queens, the workers also eat it and die. Sometimes it takes more than 2 hours, just don't put too much syrup, don't want to make the ants fat, just attract them to the Grants stuff.

2. Put the stuff where your pets cannot get it. My son's dog ate some of the mixture, we immediately called a 24 hour vet hospital. The doctor didn't think there was anything to worry about, Bob is 75 pounds. However, the vet told us to give Bob two tablespoons of Hyrogen Peroxide, this will make the animal throw up immediately. Most woman know what this is, it is not bleach. It worked!

I don't know a damn thing about emulation, but, I can murder ants without a problem.

Ants are nice compared to these little, incredibly stinky Asian lady bugs. I would give my first born to anyone with an extermination method for these orange shelled, flying stink-bombs.

IPityTheFool,
I know how you feel!!! They're everywhere!!! And they bite!!! After they first invaded I tried to gently carry them to the door and made a wish as I set them free... Now I'm sure I have filled vacuum sweeper bags with the little mongrels!!! Where are they coming from and when will they ever leave???

I have never ever had an ant problem until this year..and it has just started for me and I am clueless what to do. I only see one or two every now and then, dont know where they are coming from. I have to be careful about spraying and such cuz of the little one. What should I do? I am just killing them as I see them right now. I too, am a murderer!!

Get ready to do the Grant's ant stake fix. Buy the stakes at Save On, or Rite Aid, even the supermarket. Five or more stakes come in a box, you only will need a small part of one stake.

The few ants that you see now are the recon. ants, they find the food or nesting material and report back to the group. You can kill em one by one, but, they will just keep on coming. When you get up in the morning look in the kitchen carefully, when they come, they come in numbers, and they come fast. Put you loose cookes, open snack bags or cereal boxes in zip lock bags. When you see the ant trail to the cabinets, put the bait on one or two cabinet door hinges where the ants are. They also like the dirt under the fridge, you might see them making a trail there.

Isn't this silly, ant talk in the Pirates hacking forum. What the heck, it's better that screwing around with emulation instructions, isn't it?

Ants are easy folks.
1/2 tsp. Borax (yes, the laundry stuff)
2 tbsp. Icing sugar.

Put a pile of it on the trail (or hill) and viola! No more ants.

Slow day hey?
Life is what happens when you're waiting for components.
