Can anyone please help me? I am trying to get a signal on my RCA DRD 102Rw Reciever but all I get is the message rotate dish 3 degrees, and no fippin signal at all. In the signal menu there is a choice called (Xpndr). What does this mean or stand for? I don't have a manual for the reciever. The Xpndr is set on 07 right now, is this wrong? I have tried every position within the coordinates specified with the dish outside but no signal. I even checked the cable but it is fine. Any Idea what I am doing wrong?

thanks
Kev

dont worry about exponder, what you need to do is make sure that your dish is level on the x and y axis (vertically, horizontally). Make sure there is no building or tree in the way of the signal. If it is snowing or raining alot, you may have some problem, but not so much that you dont get anything. Also make sure it is bolted securely because the wind may affect it if it isnt. hope this helps.

You first need to make sure that everything is plumb, then aim your dish in the general direction of the satellite, which is about central Texas. Now slowly and patiently move your dish left or right 1/2 degree at a time , waiting 3 seconds between moves, until you get a solid tone on the meter. now continue to move the dish until you achieve the max signal on the meter. tighten down the bolts for that part and see if the signal changes. If not your good there. Next ,tweek the tilt just a hair at a time to see if it improves a little. If you are patient , this process will take you about a 1/2 hour. If you aren't , it can take you a month. Good luck.
