i have a dish 500 system added a new sat at 61degrees

i have tried to cascade a sw21 (110 and 119 degrees) into another sw21 (61 degrees) does not work i lost the 110. i do not want to spend 150 for the sw64 for the Free TV yet, want to wait a little longer before i spend the bucks and see how it actually works out...

is there a a-b switch i can get to manually switch between the 2 setup's i currently remove the co-ax cable..

i tried a few but they all are for tv antenna and sat, so the dish signal that goes into the tv antenna does not work...
and pointers to where can i get one that will serve the purpouse will be of great help.

An A/B switch will work...pretty much any coax A/B switch, As long as you're going from one receiver to multiple dishes. If you're going to try multiple receivers to one dish, you have to be careful because some switches will ground/short the unused ports.

Good Luck

I had the same problem, the solution is; use a twin lnb for the 110 and 119 birds, this will allow you to pick up both birds using one coaxial, then run another coaxial from the 61.5 bird, you will need a sw21 switch to send the signal from both dishes to your reciever.

I have a SW64 switch with 2 recievers, 2 dishes and I'm not going to use it anymore...(dropped dominion programming). Anyway, I will sell you my SW64 if your interested. About a year old but works great. Able to run upto 4 recievers on it. Email samspud0123@yahoo.com if interested.

Skyradar, this works for me, using a echo* 500 dish, the key is a twin lnb not the dual lnb.We are talking about Dish network not direct tv.
