I think the whole thing stinks.
What's the difference between broadcasting TV signals over the internet and broadcasting Radio signals?

Hi stephenfc,
Broadcasting radio signals come under the Radiocommunications act and the Broadcasting act and are regulated by these while Internet broadcasting is NOT regulated according to announcements by the CRTC, the governing body re broadcasting.
ICrave have a good case if the government lives up to what they have stated. But will they change the rules in midstream to suit the Monopoly broadcasters commercial needs? Well it would NOT be the first time.
Thanks

Here is my 2 cents. Isn't the suit basicaly about the rights of the developer of the tv programs. The media has me believing that ICR*VE is taking money away from the developer of these programs as ICR*VE is making money on the broadcast from the banners because they didn't pay anyone for the feed. Making it an infrigment of copyrights as it is a commercial enterprise? Please correct me if I am wrong, but this is how it is being portrayed. Sure there are alot of people crying but the core is about profits and who is the victim here. I mean most of us in Canada would pay for D*TV if it was possible wouldn't we ;).
