Here is a letter I sent to REFORM and the PRESS to see if I could get any responce and asking WHY NOT, to a letter I wrote to Jean Monty (posted here) of BCE in November. These large donations that in 1997 reached 5,293% larger than the average corporate donation concern me in that BCE, Inc., appear to be receiving extraordinary support and favoritism for their satellite business by the RCMP in all areas including free advertising on the RCMP web site at <http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/html/satellite-e.htm>http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/html/satellite-e.htm
It does concern me also however, that BCE, Inc., in 1998 donated $10,000.00 to the Reform Party. This substantial donation leads me to ask you why it is that you have not responded to my registered letter of November 15, 1999 and makes me wonder if Reform too are not subject to being influenced in favor of "big business" by large political donations.
In that letter I provided detailed information of a crime committed by Bell ExpressVu a BCE division and included prime facie evidence of that crime. The crime is the exact same crime that the RCMP have raided many small satellite dealers across the country for and seized much of their property, inventory and even their funds in the bank and their automobiles for in their misinterpretation of the RC Act. I have sent the letter to Mr. Lawrence McAuley, Mr. Philippe Murray, Mr. John Manley and several others. I am unable, after filing several complaints with the RCMP which I have signed, to get the RCMP to proceed in this investigation, showing clearly that there are two levels of law enforcement in Canada. One for ordinary Canadians and one for large government mandated duopoly broadcasters and large, rich corporations.
Recently a court ruling was made in the Supreme Court of British Columbia which clearly asserts the interpretation of the RC Act that has always been taken by small satellite dealers in Canada and which debunks and refutes the current RCMP and Industry Canada interpretation. I am including a copy of the ruling for your information below and in the event that you actually have some concern for the many satellite dealers across Canada who have had their property seized or have "been run out of business" by the incorrect Liberal interpretation.
Many people are currently suffering due to this improper government stance and this is an opportunity for Reform to show that they have concern for Canadians who are wrongly persecuted by our government to benefit the commercial interests of the large duopoly Canadian broadcasters. While Reform has always claimed to be on the side of "rule of law" in Canadian affairs, this does warrant a look by your legal team and ACTION once you understand the real issue here. It is the type of thing that can greatly benefit Reform and further it will put you on the side of right and justice which certainly is not harmful. Some Reformers, particularly Mr. Eric Lowther, has fought this incredibly wrong expenditure of Government funds to protect a commercial interest rather than to fight the drug crime that is rampant in our schools and on the streets. The RCMP have spent several MILLION dollars investigating satellite dealers, yet claim poverty virtually daily in Canada. I hope and expect as a strong Reform supporter and worker, that Mr. Lowther is not the only Reform member to be upset with this injustice.
May I please have your comments on this matter and on the registered letter I sent you on November 15, 1999. I and the public on the several web sites where I moderate and promote Reform are very interested and while I have encouraged large numbers of Canadians to realize that Reform is our only hope for a fair government, these people do expect that reform will at least indicate a position. Canadians are fed up with the indifference shown by the Liberals to their concern but they are growing tired of awaiting Reforms answer to their concerns too.
