Oval Dish on Non-Plus IRD

I just bought an elliptical dish to get the programming from both satellites. However, I have a non-plus IRD (RCA 515). Can I get the signals from both birds using an elliptical dish, a non-plus IRD and a manual A-B switch (similar to the way the ethnics were received)?

It should work OK. It gets a little tricky when you have more than two IRDs though.
