Cellular, Im taking it by your posts that you may be an installer or a dealer so I have a question for you or any other installers or dealers out there. I have recently ran into a problem activating new Hughes E2 recievers. The problems first show up as no preview channels. System tests yield no problems and transponders all read fine. When the call is placed for activation I tell the seemingly mindless person on the other end of the line that I am recieving no picture on 100 or any other preview channels. They of coarse go on with the activation process. It always takes no less than an hour for them to figure out the problem and to get a picture. Has anyone else ran into this same problem. I have experienced this on at least 4 Hughes E25's and similar problems (such as only channel 100) on others. Is this a glitch in the HU firmware? Makes me look bad when I'm at the customers house an extra hour trying to get them service.

We have also gone through quite a few of the new Hughes and activated with no problems.

Maybe there was a bad run of them manufactered with a bug in the software.

Are there different versions of S/W out with the new series of Hughes.?

Gunsmoke, thats what I was thinking. When activation finally was obtained it took a few minutes for all channels to come online. Probably the stangest think I've ever seen. Seems to be a series of recievers we had. No more problems with new batches.

Maybe a dummy thought, but we got the generations of cards; right!, and then we got to deal with possible "editions" of each generartion. I know subs {liget}, as of five hours ago who are getting gletched every 15min to 20min. And thats on a land line

So ? is, Does Dave care how he Hits, even if there is a side effect on his own coustomer base? I wonder, and would like any input.
