I am considering purchasing a dss system, and am considering doing it myself. Is this worth my while doing it myself, or would I be better off hiring someone? I'm not Tim "the toolman" Taylor, but I'm fairly handy with tools. What special tools would I need to do this? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Tools: a level (9" is best), 7/16" wrenches, compass and the rest varies with where you install the dish. It is not that hard to do. Look for an spot on house that has a vertical or horizonal surface to mount dish. Direction and elevation vary with location but basically south and either a little east or west.

Thanks guys. I'm sure you'll hear from me more when the day comes that I finally decide to do the install. Gonna wait until the snow melts though!! LOL I love living in Canada! :D
