shibadude -- If I understand your question correctly, you want to run two (or more) TV's off of one DTV receiver... then your are correct that the splitter(s) need to be on the to-TV output of the recieiver. Hope this helps. ..azjoe

I have my dish mounted on my garage. I want to run DTV into my garage, which is converted, without a second receiver even though I have a dual LNB. I was going to place the splitter at the dish so that one line would go to the house and the other into
the garage. After thinking about this it seems more logical that the splitter needs to be at the receiver and not the dish. Is this the case?

if you run a cable splitter off of a single lmb dish you will get nothing but a frozen picture. i found this out already. what i had to do was run one tv off of the coaxial cable and the other off of the s-video output.
