lost signal??????

LOST SIGNAL LAST WEEK, CAN'T GET IT BACK, WHEN I GO TO INSTALLATION TEST THE DATE HAS CHANGED BACK TO JAN. 2ND AND THE TIME IS OFF WHAT COULD BE GOING ON???
P.S. WE HAVE ALREADY MOVED THE DISH LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF TREE INTERFERENCE.

Sounds like a connector busted loose, or some other kind of cable separation. Perhaps the dish was blown off-point from wind, maybe a bird built a nest on it, the IRD could have died, someone could have cut your cable looking to poach your signal (thinking it was cable TV cable)....Um...there's a jillion reasons you could have lost signal...

What have you tried so far? What can be definatley ruled out?

Usually the first non-ird related test is to connect another cable direct from the LNB to the IRD to make sure your cable & ends are OK.
If you still get no signal, check the point of the dish....mark the starting location so if it's not dish pointing, you can come back to where it was.

If possible, try another IRD, if that doesn't fix it, try another LNBf.
