I saw a special on Ginger last year I believe. This is incredible. And I believe every paraplegic should be able to afford one, however due to the sorry state of Health care in America, only the rich will have one.

People, read up on this incredible chair and write your congressmen.

This is not "it"!!!

Dean Kamen has been showing is all-terrain wheelchair quite a bit. The buzz about IT gave him lots of chances to show the chair since he will not talk about "IT". I know a little bit about IT and this definitely is not it.

That is Dean Kamen. That much is for sure, and that is also a stand up, self balancing, stair climbing chair. I don't know if it is for sure "ginger" but it is an Ibot Tranportor.

here is another link.

And Here, about halfway down the page is another picture of Dean in the Ibot. so I don't know exactly what you are trying to say, maybe he has several prototypes, but this is the one I am familiar with. http://www.ta.doc.gov/Medal/roundtable_photos-2000.html

I saw a quick videotape clip on the news of this wheelchair, it was rock steady and unbeliveable! It seemed to defy gravity and logic. I think the news person mentioned very quickly his other invention, I thought they were refering to him as the "it" inventer. As far as I know isnt "IT" a two wheeled one person skooter? Thanks for the pictre link cus I was telling some friends about this wheelchair.

This isn't what "IT" is. He invented this stair climbing wheelchair before his current media over-hyped invention that they're calling Ginger.

That is not "IT". That is mentioned above is his all terrain wheel chair. "IT" is a hydrogen powered scooter, no pictures available yet.

Oh! OK, I would sure like to see the scooter.
I thought "IT" stood for Ibot Transporter.

Thanks for setting me straight.
