Why would DTV be trying to set a cookie on my computer when I've not even been to there site? I was in the P3 forum when this happened.

The only cookies I know about are the ones my kids and Mrs C are selling in front of Wal-Marts. They are day old cookies and are not selling very good. Please let us know about your cookie situation.

I was just surfing through the Den and all of a sudden "Guard Dog" Detected DTV trying to put a cookie on my computer. I just thought it was weird since I didn't view there web site.

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

Please see if you can narrow it down to a particular post.

Zow....Just checked my cookie base and I have one @www.directv, too. Can't recall visiting their site in QUITE some time (definitely well before the date it was set). Wonder if these clowns are up to something?

Just checked mine and I also had a cookie from DTV. It expired 03/21/2037 at 4:00 pm.
Said last visited 03/25/01
Ain't been there in a long time, though
As I visit almost every post each day can't narrow it down too much but wouldn't it have to involve clicking a link to get a cookie??

Think I figured mine out, Direct PCs site would possibly put a DTV cookie out. I did click a link here to it:D

Rise I'm sorry I didn't really pay much thought to it.
I also haven't visited DTV's website in months and always decline cookies anyway.
