Ok, at times I am not the brightest crayon in the box! This camera belongs to a friend of mine and I am trying to help them out!

They gave me the camera and the box it came in with all original items! My mission was to download their pictures to my PC and print them!

Camera came with a USB cable and a CD. I connect USB cable to puter and to camera.

New device is detected (Winodw 98)! I insert CD, but can not find the drivers and or installation!

I read the little manual and go to page 70 for USB information.

Page 70 says refer to manual that came with USB kit! We do not have a USB kit!

Am I crazy? If a USB cable came with the camera wouldn't you belive that the drivers/installation software is on that CD?

I went to their web site and it stinks!

Does anyone own one of these puppies? Any and all help would be appreciated!

As always, thanks,

I don't have one of those, but frequently the drivers are on the CD, in some directory.

If you tell the "New Device Found" process/message that the disk is there, it'll look, then probably come back with "File XXXXX.ZZ Not Found." If you drop back to the Windows Explorer, do a search for that file on the CD, it should indicate what directory it's found in.

Go back to the "New Device Found" screen, and plug in the path that Explorer found (you can even (probably) cut & paste it in.

Check the CD for a SETUP.EXE program. Sometimes the installation program will automatically plug in the correct drivers in the correct places.

Good Luck

If the above advise is not working, try using the Windows-98 CD-Rom. Some drivers are on there........
Might work, might not, I have found some USB drivers on the disk. Also, check http://www.usb.org/ They have a lot of info on USB products.
