Within the next month we should start to see the new Mitubishi, and Toshiba HDTV sat, over the air and cable set top boxes arriveing in stores. These sets unlike the RCA DTC100 will include component outputs, which will make them much more compatable with consumer sets. Now I only wish that DT# would start getting more program material going. D%#H is leading the game when it comes to HDTV broadcast. They are expected to launch another 4 channels this month. DT# only has an HBO, ocassionally a PPV, and a demo loop. Now thats bad considering that the new lower cost STB's will bring HDTV to the massses quickly. Last year an OTA HDTV set top was $2000.00, now you can get the HDTV OTA, cable, and sat boxes for $600.00. Di$h's new receiver which does all the above can be preordered for 399.00 includeing all the dishes and LNB's required. I dont know about the rest of you, but I can hardly wait till their is more program material.
