I have had a number of cards that are all virgins seized by US customs. These are all unaltered and were going from Canada to the US.
Now what do I do? I haven't received any notifications except from Fed Ex when I inquired about the tracking stopping. It was my understanding that unaltered cards were not illegal to ship to the US.

They are going to hold them and verify that they were not altered.
You are going to get a copy of a two page letter from Scott Wilsdun stating that you are not an authorized distributor of Directv, that cards are only available with systems (and only in isolated cases are cards sold individually) and lastly on the back it clearly states that the cards are the property of NDS. Therefore, according to Mr. Wilsdun's logic you are in possession of these cards illegally and NDS is the rightful owner.
Mr. Wilsdun is also going to throw in some sections of Acts that you have violated (or at least Mr. Wilsdun thinks you have violated) and then he is going to say that Directv/NDS are considering seeking civil damages against you.
Your bigger problem is going to be U.S. Customs though, if you did not declare that inside the package where cards they could seize the whole shipment.

I had heard that about declaring the contents properly so I labeled them as computer cards. I will wait for the letters to roll in I guess.

What ever happened to Birthday Card shipments?
Ship via postal service in a regular letter. Other than no insurance or guarantee that the mailman does not steal it, there is no custom paperwork and less of a chance that anything gets noticed (if you can trust who you are shipping it to!)

I do not believe the letter will come from DTV's lawyer Scott Wilsdon but rather US Customs who seize it.
Since they are virgin and only a few if you want to take the time and expense ? I would contest it. Perhaps some others would share in the cost ? to set some presedence that they are legal and nothing wrong.. the cost would not be too high.
