Increase the speed on Cable Modem?

Does anyone have site that show how and if any files needed to increase the speed on a cable modem?

My DSL is at 710 down and 458 up, which isn't bad for DSL.

well it just bumped mine up over 200..
Of course what really improved it is when the cable company took that filter off the line.:D

I quess I shouldn't complain of 2536 down and 1965 up, I thought this was slow for a cable modem , Thanks for all your help.
