I watch wrestling all the time. Just keep it in perspective that it is entertainment. Next time take a sign with you, something like dsschat.com. Then you know we will be watching.
Many years ago my wife was opening her pie hole once to often how it was fake. So I got her in a figure 4 leg lock, put just a little pressure on and she was screaming like a psycho. I proved a point to her, but it was a lonesome night later.

I watched the WWF for more than 10 years, so you're not the only one:) But it's not the same though after Shawn Micheals and Bret "The Hitman" Hart left. After they left, everything's not the same... there's no rule, guys wrestlin' womens, using weapons, 2 on 1 matches or triple threat matches, etc. It's gettin' silly now, but I still watch it. WWF between the late 80s and mid 90s were alot better when Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior were still there. The Ultimate Warrior was my all time favorite. I sure miss the old WWF when the owner was Gorilla Monsoon.

so.calguy,
Sable left cuzz Vince McMahon is a pervert, he wanted her character to show off her top or whatever... well, you get the idea. She thought it was inappropiate, because kids are goin' to be watchin' and attending the events. So, she left and sued the WWF. I thought she was aiight, but I like Trish Stratis:)

Ok, now we're getting somewhere! Yahoo! I'm surrounded by WWF fans! Gotta love that.
First: Sable left WWF because Vince and the script writers wanted to turn her character into a lesbian. Mark Mero (also a wrestler and her husband!) didn't like it so much (not that she was really keen on the idea either, but would have gone along with it if hubby Mark hadn't have gotten totally pissed at Vince and company) and so she quit, suing for zillions blah blah blah. There's the Sable story. :)
Second: While I agree that it's fake, gotten cheezy, etc etc whatever you want to say about it, for me it's all about entertainment. I mean, come on! It's a guy's soap opera, plain and simple! Where else can you see half naked women (and sometimes fully naked, ie The Kat about 1 year and 1/2 ago) running around and pulling hair, doing flips in the air (go Lita go!) and generally putting their bodies at risk to entertain a crowd?
Third: On to the Rock. HE IS DA MAN! End of story. I mean come on! He's filming the Mummy 3 right now which will be all about his character, The Scorpion King from the Mummy Returns, and he's making a zillion $$. He's got the body of Adonis and a rapier wit to boot. "IT DOESN"T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!" The guy writes all his own stuff, he's incredible.
Fourth: I know how fickle everyone is regarding "I like this guy" or "That guy sucks" and I can be just as bad when it comes to changing my allegiances. However, HHH has been my fave for a long time and he is the baddest mofo around and I can't wait till he comes back from his recent surgery!
Ok ... there's enough WWF stuff there for now! And no one needs to ask if I'm a WWF nerd, because the answer is YES I AM! :D

Are you on glue? The guy walks like he's got a stick up his ass. And he's a crappy commissioner. He's Vince's little kiss-ass nancy boy. How about when HHH and Austin beat up Lita. That was ok with Regal. But when the Hardyz got some revenge and gave Steph a beating, they got punished. Give me a freakin break. Foley is still the man!

Gorilla Monsoon (RIP) was never the owner, he was the president after Jack Tunney. The president was basically the same as the commissioner except that they were less involved.

William Regal IS hilarious. I totally agree. I thought it was a scream when Y2J took a pee into his tea pot. That was great! The hilarious part was when Regal drank it. Laughed my ass off. :D

my brother says he cant wait until the WCW fights against the WWF.........!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN WILL THAT BE?
CalgarySat
June 7th, 2001, 09:51 PM
Probably sooner than we all think. With the WCW guys doing run-ins every so often, it's gonna happen soon I'm sure. Lance Storm (Canadian guy) came out and got a little smack in at RAW here in Calgary. :)

You people can guess all you want about what the WWF/WCW "plans" are. If my son Shane thinks he's going to get away with this, he is SADLY mistaken. I will, however, let the SmackDown "run-in" with Stacy Keebler go. WOW!! Hey!! Stop it!! I'm not an a$$hole!! You people resemble that chant more than I do. I'M VINCE MCMAHON DAMNIT!!!! I can buy and sell each and everyone of you...... And secretly, I want to do naughty things to Lita.
No Chance In Hell!
Oh, by the way, Austin if you EVER hug me like that again, well I might just have to give you a raise.

But only if he keeps that goofy look on his face while he's doing it again, right? ;)
