is starchoice using a general instruments reciever and are the dish and lnb compatiable.

I can't even find info on my reciever which is a NEXT LEVEL reciever..is made by rca, GE or another company, then marketed under Next Level?

Made by GI , now owned by Motorola . I heard the receivers are not compatible but the remotes and dish/lnb are . Anything other than that , I am not aware of . Far as I know Prime are now doorstoppers !

i will try a primestar just to see if it can even pick up the satellite.let ya know later.
