OK I got an idea. Almost everybody has made a material change in thier intellegent life since being a teen or early twenties. This is an attemp, on my part, to start a thread full of PICs, yes, pics of us when younger, or just stories without pics. "Who we used to be"

Don't post here, this is not the thread...This thread is just for notification puposes so everbody can dig out all those old pics, scan them, or get set up for hosting sites.

If you think this is an interesting idea, post it, otherwise we will let it die.

Remember, don't post the pics or stories here, this is just to determine interest and plan for preparation time. Remember this has to be a group effort, so make your feelings known. Are you brave? Ha Ha. Hey, I'm brave, years ago I was OK looking, now, see my avitar.

Good idea, Al. Lots of potential. I'll vote my support for it. The only problem i could see with it, is that it might take the page forever to load if people submit a lot of pics. We might need to check with rise, first, and see what a good pic size is, so the page will load quick. Otherwise, the thread might get closed, or people will get to frustrated to wait on it. Just my thoughts.

How about firing up a Geocities account & upload them to there & get permission to post a link in the thread You start. Then You could leave the thread open for comments from the posters. It could be set up alphabetically with 3 or 4 pics per page & an A|B|C|D type nav bar across the bottom of the pages with a previous & next option.

I have been messing around with sites, Geocities won't allow pics to be linked from here, Homestead will allow stored pics, however if you give them a real email address you will be automatically subscribed to more spam than you can count. I know, I did it. However, the Homestead site is perfect for storing graphics and pictures.

Most graphic programs will also allow cropping or size reduction of photos, so, space can be kept at a minimum. I use Adobe Photo Deluxe, this program usually comes free with many devices, CD Rom drives and digital cameras.

If we set up a site under a common name, gave everyone the name and password so pics could be uploaded, it sounds good, however, it would be hacked and messed up really fast.

More ideas....keep em comin.

Ok, I have mine ready, when can we start posting, let do it, we post pictures all the time, and out of date personal pictures are harmless. I have two contrasting examples ready for my post. Lets do it.

Hell, lets do it already, I am about to jump the gun and start the thread. THis is taking too damn long. DTV can't hold s@%t against anyone, how could you prove that the old photos are even the person posting. Hmmmm, like I said, I am ready!

Personally I think this is the wrong place to do it,Who wants their picture floating around the net.
Why don't you just E-mail each other the pics,sure I'm curious to see what others look like.There are a few that have my pic but I have talked to them over the phone or met them in person. Or trusted the individual

Hey, I can understand not wanting current pics, and of course noone will force anyone. I am not a bit worried by it, I have posted current pics before if I remember right, who cares?!?! Here is an example of a 23 year old photograph of myself.
