I've won quite a few beers on that one. The best reaction is when you pull downtown, parallel park (POORLY) and then get out and pick up your car and straighten it out, do this at lunchtime in a major metropolitan area, and you get some very neat reactions. Do it acting VERY angry and the sidewalk people sea parts magically as you walk towards your destination! FUN FUN FUN. (That 83 Escort was brand new, so that pic is 18 years old or so) OK, this isn't the Quaddawg show, so lets get those pics scanned!!! and submitted or you will force me to put another 4 up!!

If people are afraid to use their current email address when registering on Homestead, just set up a hotmail address, use that to register on Homestead.com. Homestead will allow pic hosting and their file management software is easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Alright, i give up. I've spent the last five hours setting up my scanner and trying to figure out how to work the damn thing. I scanned in a picture, and it was small. I then put it on my homestead account and it was big, so i resized it to an acceptable size and saved it. I then came here and got it ready to post, but when i previewed it, it was HUGE!!! I'm talking, it took up the whole monitor. What happened? How do I fix it? I have a umax scanner and i scanned it in adobe. This is my first time to use a scanner or adobe. Any suggestions? If so, i'll try again tomorrow. I'm going to bed.

Each graphics program is different. But here is an easy way to do it.

Open your image in Paint (the little freebie with windows, it works fine for this simple stuff)

click "Image" from the menu at the top, the select "Stretch/Skew"

Then replace the 100 in horizontal with 25 or so (Percent)
do the same with the vetical, save the image as a .jpg (important for file size) under a different name. Then upload and post it. If 25% isn't the right size you need, choose another.

I use ViewprintPro, but any of the programs will do the same thing, they just call it something else, like "resize" under "edit", or sometimes under "file".

I think you probably didn't save the resizing correctly. try this.

I went back into my homestead account, and the picture is still saved as the acceptable size, so i tried to post it again, but it is still HUGE here. I then went into paint and tried to do your suggestion, but paint wouldn't open it. In adobe, i saved the file as a .jpg and paint requires .bmp. So, i will try going back into adobe and saving as bmp and then doing it in paint. But, i don't understand why my saved size in homestead won't work. I've posted pics here before using the account -- and these were pics i had to resize in homestead. It worked fine before. It must have something to do with my scanning/adobe. The pics from before were ones i found on the web and just resized. Oh well, i'll try again later today.

Thanks for the help, quad. I'm a complete computer idiot. I couldn't convert it to jpg in paint, so i went back to adobe, and converted to bmp, then to paint and resized it, then back to adobe and converted back to jpg, then to homestead to upload, and finally here. I think the problem has something to do with adobe and my not knowing how to work with it. Oh well, a new project for me to figure out.

I was hanging in the locals taverns, I can't remember the name, and drinking with a member of Parliment, He said he could get me citizenship on my Medical Laboratory skills. I would've too, if it hadn't been for this little gal in Florida, damn, the things I have done for the sake of women!! NO MORE. I do intend to return. As a matter of fact, I am trying to get my partner down to Nassau on a little vacation this summer. Think we could hook up?? You gotta look closely at these pictures, This is actually my Dad and Stepmom moving. I am on the bike. I went down to Texas (Amarillo) To help them move to Missouri, this is what was waiting for me when I showed up. You will recognize the buggy from the post above, being pulled by a 63 Buick, there is also a 1962 Ford Pickup pulling an Ice Cream truck, my bike is loaded down too! This was the craziest looking rig I had ever seen! My dad doesn't believe in renting anything to move in, so he just loaded up everything he owned and hooked them together and VIOLA!
Instant (Ok, so not so instant) Moving vans! Damn things made it from Amarillo to St. Louis with no major problems. I do remember helping him put a U joint in the pickup, but hey, that's no big deal! This all happened in the mid eighties!

I was just thinking the same thing Coop! It's been too long without seeing the Quaddawg, so...... a a couple more.

I have to admit, this is good incentive to get the photos scanned that I have been meaning to. It sure is nice to have your pics stored neatly on the old HD, you can break them out at a minutes notice and surprize someone you haven't seen in a while with a photo of them, (or in my case, one of ME {my favorite subject!})

This is a picture of one of the bonfires we built at one of our Club runs. It was a doozy, sponsered by the AFR (American Federation of Bikers) and attended by tons of good biker folk, Including the Iron Horsemen, the Lost Souls, the Seventh Sons, and more. Good times! I wish I could find the pics of it burning, but it wasn't the only thing lit at the time!!! You should have seen that old boat go up! It was a huge, old, gas and oil soaked, wooden boat, and you could feel the heat from it across the field! Look at the size of the 4x4 pallets to get an idea how big the fire was.

Good pics, he's a cutey!!! I got them a little smaller... The easiest way I've found to do it is to download a "free" pic program called Infraview 32... When you open a pic in it click on the "image" tab and hit "resize" you can easily keep decreasing the size by 50% until you get the size you want... Then just save it...

Well, people reading this thread probably are wondering what filled in the missing spaces in the preceeding Pirate posts and the Pnut posts. Also, what was Muggles so angry about. Here it comes:

Pirate posted a picture of a naked baby, front view. However, a certain part of the baby's body was changed by cutting and pasting a similar part from either a horse, or a porno actor. This was against Den rules, and in bad taste. (In my perverted mind it did have some humorous affect) However, the chief law enforcement officer of the park "Officer Muggles" dropped the hattchet and buried all guilty parties along with their accomplices. Hope this explanaton helps.
