That was the first movie I've ever seen that was better than the book. They changed a lot of things from the book, but didn't really take away from the story.

Helen Hunt needs to dress like that more, I've always thought she was a pretty lady, but now she is in the "Hottie" catagory. I think!!!

I did cry as well, it is definately a movie to watch....can we say Oscar material????

It has a good lesson/moral as well, something most new Hollywood movies don't have! A must watch.

Whenever anyone suggests a movie, I always ask the same thing.

Adventure?
Story?
Laughs?
Ending happy?

I was told this movie didn't have what I would call a happy ending, but, that I would feel good at the end. That's all I needed, I saw the movie and I felt good at the end.

Soooooooo, all you people that think you know the ending, see the movie anyway, the end is less important than the middle. There is a moral to this story that makes the movie worth watching.

Uncle Al, I pay if forward every day.

Ok I fess up. I didn't bawl like a baby but my eyes were moist and my throat felt a lil' bit tight. That is as much as I am going to admit too. Very few movies are able to touch me that way so I say this one is a must see.

Social Study, Very real. Did ya see the dish on the roof
in the scene just past the kitchen/sink?
Don't mean to spoil the movie.

I agree with Al. This movie has a good moral storyline. Apache should edit his post (in my opinion), just because it tells part of the movie. This movie has its funny moments, its sad parts, but you will definitely feel good at the end. PAY IT FORWARD

P.S. I also agree with finkle62 and cellular about Helen Hunt.

If anyone here at the den wants to use the following gif for your icon, you are welcome to it. I created it but can't use it because I only have a few posts.

Very good movie, loved the sat dish, had a crush on H Hunt since the first time I saw her on the tele. I recently used Morpheus, I think (Quaz?) recommended it here at the den as a napster sub, and checked out the movie downloads and Pay It Forward is already there.

I ended up having to go back and watch parts of the movie over and over again until I finally got to watch it all. I bet I watched it in pieces over six times. When I finally saw the end, I was so shocked, It was so unexpected!! I have to admit, I cried, no I bawled!!!
I have to disagree...about Helen Hunt looking good in this movie. I can understand how some of you would think that, being this is a trailer park, but I really thought she had so much more class and beauty in "What women want". But I know it was just the difference in characters, which shows what a great actress she is.
Great movie!!

I haven't seen the movie yet, maybe tonight, but while we're on the Helen Hunt subject, I thought she was looking pretty hot in that tornado movie a few years ago. I never thought much of her before then. I think she blows Laura Dern away.

Aren't you one of the guys who picked Ginger??? If so then you'll really like Helen Hunt in this movie and the way she looks ;)

Hi Coop,
Oh yeah, I was all over Ginger, she was babealicious in her day. I don't think time was too kind to her, though. At least not like it has been to Suzanne Somers and Farrah Fawcett. Now there's two primo women -- even though Farrah's an airhead -- but hey, the too brainy types are a little weird anyway (i misspelled wierd on the test -- i probably did it again now:D). But anyway, thanks for the tip on Helen! I've seen some of the previews, and she is looking pretty tasty!!! I can't wait to see the movie and give her a proper viewing. BTW, aren't all you girls crazy about Kevin Spacey???

Hi zcubed,
Yep you spelled it wrong once, it's weird, I did get that one right... :D And maybe some girls are crazy about Kevin Spacey but I'm not one of them... ;)
Take Care,

I saw the movie last night. Helen was looking GOOD!!! I especially liked her in her opening appearance. There's just something about cleavage.:D I like cleavage. Cleavage is good. In the movie, Helen reminded me of Julia Roberts', Erin Brockovich -- except an insecure version. I think Julia may of had a little better cleavage factor, though, but i think most of that was due to her outfits rather than nature. Anyway, the movie was good. Helen was looking PROPER!!! Oh, and if anybody feels the need to pay it forward, I accept cars and donations, including personal checks.:D

If ya stuck through the movie till the end, you heard this song. I liked it so much I scoured the net for the mp3...finally found it too. If I only knew how to put a wav here.

CALLING ALL ANGELS, Jane Siberry (from her album When I Was A Boy)

santa maria, santa teresa, santa anna, santa susannah, santa cecilia, santa
copelia, santa domenica, mary angelica, grater achad, frater pietro, julianus,
petrolina santa, santos, miroslaw, vladimir and all the rest

Oh a man is placed upon the steps, and a baby cries
high above you can hear the church bells start to ring
and as the heaviness Oh the heaviness the body settles in
somewhere you can hear a mother sing
then it's one foot then the other as you step out on the road
step out on the road
how much weight? how much?
then it's how long? and how far? and how many times? oh before it's too late?

calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don't leave me alone
calling all angels
calling all angels
we're tryin'... we're hopin'
but we're not sure how...

ahh and every day you gaze upon the sunset with such love and intensity
why it's a ..it's almost... as if you could only crack the code
then you'd finally understand what this all means
but if you could... do you think you would trade in all... all the pain and suffering?
ah, but then you'd miss the beauty of the light upon this earth
and a ... and the sweetness of the leaving

calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don't leave me alone
calling all angels
calling all angels
we're tryin'
we're hopin'
but we're not sure how
calling all angels
calling all angels
calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don't leave me alone
calling all angels
calling all angels
we're tryin'
we're hopin'
we're hurtin'
we're lovin'
we're cryin'
we're callin'
'cuz we're not sure how this goes
