Go to a search engine and buy them online there are hundreds of places you can buy from...You can buy Cohiba cigars anywhere they are very good to smoke and leave a good taste in your mouth for hours after your done..[Edited by wannano6 on August 8th, 2001 at 01:07 PM]

Monte Christo's blow Cohiba's away.
No problem getting them in Florida.
They just announced that we will be able to travel to Cuba legally.

I just stopped by the cigar store in town here and the guy told me that you could still not get cuban cigars legally in the US he said there are a ton of fakes out though and they are pretty impressive ones. People are taking cigars they can get for a buck or two and turning them over for up to 35.00 or so not a bad gig I bet Quad would like some of this action,LOL:D

I did search the web and you can find numerous places to buy them there but like the guy at the cigar shop just told me you really don't know if you are getting a real Cuban. So maybe you cn talk to one of you pirate den buddies in Canada...

This is a subject I can comment on. I currently live in the Miami area and my personal assistant is from Cuba. He goes home twice a year and I always have him bring cigars back for me. The laws about Cigars from Cuba are as follows. You still cannot bring Cuban cigars into the U.S. due to the embargo, however, there is an exception. For people located in the U.S. that are still Cuban citizens, they are allowed to bring back 2 boxes of cigars per person per trip into the U.S.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with obtaining any since I had to lay him off 2 months ago, business is slow. It sucks cause my humidor is almost empty.

And one final note...I have to agree with what was said above, if you really want an enjoyable smoke, go with the Monte Cristo #2 Smoke's really nice and not so overpowering like Cohiba's can be. If you can't get a MonteCristo...then Romeo y Julietta is a good alternative.

Good luck finding them...its worth the search, believe me.

If you ever travel to Montreal, you are in cigar heaven. I don't think there is ANY kind of cigar or tobacco product you CAN'T get in Montreal... Quebec is the outlaw province of Canada, laws are very lenient there... I still have memories of being 16 and buying beer at the corner store and getting into strip clubs (if you do go to Montreal, I STRONGLY recommend the Chez Paree off of St.Catherine's downtown... rumoured to be one of the best clubs in the country).

Cookieman, I am in Canada and have a large supply of Cuban Cigars (Montecristo #1, #4, Cohiba Esplendido, Cohiba Siglo V, Romeo e Julieta etc.) in a personal supply. If you are looking for just a couple I would be happy to help you out. I can also get a box of 25 (I know a fellow who defected from Cuba about 3 years ago and I usually pick up a couple of boxes a year considerably less than retail) if you are interested PM me and I can give you more details. My only concern is getting them into the US. I will be travelling to the States in late August and can mail them from a US post office or ship via fed ex. If I ship from Canada, there is a good chance they might get snapped up by customs. Let me know if you are interested.
