First make sure your mount is as perfectly plumb & level as you can get it, if it's not close, it makes the job much harder.

Second, make sure your "tilt" value is correct. If tilt is off, there are (literally) infinite tilt/az/el combinations that will give you ONE satellite or the other, but not both.
The tilt value is given from Plus IRDs, after you tell the IRD setup program you are using an elliptical dish with multiple LNBs.

Remember to aim the dish relative to true North(not magnetic North. An aviation map, or justaboutany pilot in your area can tell you what the magnetic deviation is for your neighborhood. Basically there is zero deviation just West of Chicago, increasing (West) or decreasing (East) by approx 1.5 degrees for each parallel of longitude.

That's about it. Set the tilt, then the AZ/EL, then tweak.

I get readings ~ mid 70s in Northern Illinois from the 119, and ~ mid60s from the 110. Not all transponders are available from all satellites. I believe the 119 uses mostly 26-32.

Good Luck.

you can solve this problem.this is what you do. first select the type of dish you have from the menue now you select the 119 satellite option in your menue once you have done that go to your roof and be shore your dish is level and plum almost to perfection now once you have done that simply set your elevation aka up and down positioning lock it in place now you will locate your 119 satellite which is south west so get your compas and find s w aim your dish in that directtion at about 225 degrees give or take a little once you get your signal tune it in at about 95 percent once you have done that lock it in place now all you have to do is get the correct tilt and that will bring in the 101 satellite peak it as high as you can and lock it in place and you are done do this exactly as i instructed and you wont go wrong. when installing one of these dishes you always find your 119 sat first then you goo for 101 i hope i have helped you and others

I hope all of you don't realy do it that way..it takes me no more than 10 min to find both sats once the dish is assembled ... Listen to this and you will see how easy this is ...first you assemble your dish make sure your 119 and 101 cables are correct to the switch so you don't have problems finding your signal set your skew or tilt as everyone else calls it that is the rotation of the dish .. make sure it is correct for your zipcode then set your elevation to your zipcode then when you mount the dish all you need to do is connect your signal meter to your 199 lnbf and swing your dish from SE to SW kinda slowly so when you hit that bird you know it then you fin tune it and you should be able to grabe atleast 99 to 125 % signal stength
I do this all day long I am An echo * dealer and have set up both DTV and E* systems and I get no less than 98 % on both lnbf if your do it the way I tell you both lnbf's should be equal in strength :}

P.S. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone But i've been doing this now for quit some time and I know what i'm doing
please feel free to email me with any questions you might have regarding this post
