I bought a used hughes HIRD-B2 off the net and when I installed it the menu was 4 hrs. behind east coast time. The system was from the west coast. also the remote doesn't work. No instructions came with it but it has a valid H card. Can anyone tell me how to change the time zone because it doesn't have anything in the menu to do this function. Also is there anything I have to do to get the remote to work. Also is there any place to download the instruction manual. I tried hns.com and couldn't find anything. I am a newbie and would like to buy a test card but I think I have to solve this problem first. Does a phone line have to be plugged in? My wall jack is on the other side of the room and that is the only thing that is not connected. The only thing I have not tried in the menu is program new card. I thought that might screw up my card. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
