His card just went down for whatever reason. It is in all our local newspapers. He doesn't mean busted as in FBI busted, and if you read Playboy's interview you would know why he needs a programed card. Even with his money, he can not legally buy channel 596 in NC.

DARLINGTON, S.C. — With a sheepish grin from under his Budweiser cap, Dale Earnhardt Jr. admitted Wednesday that he didn’t watch the live television coverage of NASCAR’s report on his father’s deadly crash at Daytona.

"I got a cheater (illegal satellite) card that got busted," Earnhardt Jr. said. "So I didn’t watch anything yesterday."

Earnhardt Jr. said NASCAR president Mike Helton briefed him on the investigation. And he’s at peace with it.

"I’m real satisfied the way NASCAR handled it," said Earnhardt Jr., who was at Darlington Raceway on Wednesday fulfilling a promotional appearance for the Sept. 2 Southern 500. "Everything that they believe they have found is real consistent with my beliefs and understanding and the family’s interest.

"We’re very content with everything, how it was released and handled and what was said and done. I felt like I had already figured it out myself."

Earnhardt Jr. admitted he has been through a rough period — "there are no (grieving) guidelines to follow," he said — but he seems to be emerging from his father’s shadows.

"We were in a mall doing a Q&A with a lot of fans and this young girl asked me in front of all these people, ‘Why are you so open with your life? Why aren’t you more private with your thoughts and stuff?’ " Earnhardt Jr. said.

"I thought that was an interesting question. It really made me look at myself and say, ‘Why am I like that?’ I really was just going at it with reckless abandon. Teresa (dad’s widow) said the other day, ‘Every question you’re asked, you answer right away.’

This is the article from a local newspaper, and you can see the card was not the focal point of the article. Now you can see why Dale and most likely Junior relates so well to the common people.

I got into testing because I couldn't get all the locals. I had just about everything you could buy, but it pissed me off that I couldn't watch Star Trek TNG in Minneapolis.

I mean it was right there, in the box on my TV but they wouldn't let me see it!
