I must be living in a cave. Either all those movies sucked or I am totally out of it cuz I haven't heard of any of them other than "the mexican". New doesn't necessarily equal good. If DTV keeps this up I am heading for the video store and see how many John Wayne and Clint Eastwood oldies I can find. Damn, it scares me to think that this might be their answer to the piracy problem.

15 Minutes -- Robert DeNiro and that other guy who are cops in New York and they're hunting down that terrorist that kills people on national tv (he gets his "15 Minutes" of fame).

Enemy at the Gates -- It has those two guys who are snipers in the army in WWII. One of them is a German, and the other one is a Russian (I think).

The Mexican -- Julia Roberts!!!

I've got a father in-law that rents them on Tuesdays when they hit the video stores then he lets me have 'em.

The Mexican: I didn't see it but my wife said it was a good movie.

15 Minutes: I liked it. It was kind of hoaky but it kept my interest.

Enemy at The Gates: GREAT MOVIE. If your into tactical, sniper war-fare / war time movies, this is a must see.

I'm with you Travis, none of these movies do anything for me. I'll stick with my TIVO recordings.

I must agree!!!!!!!!!!! Except for maybe 2, these are nothing worth seeing, especially if you had to pay for them. At a time when DTV is pushing again for subscribers, they sure need more than this and the NFL to attract new customers.

I know that tivo units can save up to like 32 hours of recordings, is there a way to back those up onto like a compact disc or swap out hard drives or something if you want to save more?

You can now hack a TiVo replacing/adding the hard drive with 2 100GB drives to arrive at more than 230 hrs recording time. The only practical way to save the recordings to another media is to use the video/audio outputs on playback. However, hackers are working on methods to copy the mpeg files through a connection like the available ethernet called tivonet. TiVos use linux.

Well, I just watched "Dude, Where's My Car?" this past weekend. It was one of the WORST movies I have EVER seen!!! If you haven't seen it yet, get a root canal instead!

It's movies like that which make me happy to own a DVD player and a Blockbuster card. Talk about crap PPVs lately. And now we can't even look forward to WWF PPVs. If I paid for any of it, I'd have the right mind to complain :) hehe

Speaking of the fall season though, anyone hear of DTV adding any more channels to their lineup? I know ExpressPoo is adding a large amount and so is digital cable.
