Hughs Platinum video problems

I'm still having problems with my Hird-E86 . When I view in the 1080i mode (through compoent cables) I occasionally get the screen going black for 2 seconds 2-3 times an hour on most channels, but is worst on channel 100, as many as 20 times an hour. I do not encounter this when watching in 480i or through the coax. I'm currently emulating but recently tried a hu to see if the problem went away but it didn't. Finally I tried my virgin Hu on channel 100 and still had the problem .I've tried swapping out all the cables and lnbs and automatic switch. I need help from anybody that has a platinum receiver hooked up to a HD tv. I'm still very suspect of the direct tv signal because it is so channel specific. I enquired at Hughs technical for this problem they replied and said it was a common complaint and a soft reboot should correct the problem. (I wish it was that simple.)
