Hello,
I have just installed the DTV Plus dish and I am wondering what others have gotten for signal on their setups... Don't know what to guage it to.... I have heard it is a bear to setup between the 3 LNB's and want to know if my signal is comparable to what others are getting... or do I have to start hacking some trees... :)
Here's what I have on average:
LNB A - 85
LNB B - 60 high 50's
LNB C - 80 with nothing coming in on transponder #8 ???? ( Is this normal???? )
I am also going to get an HDTV DSS receiver but, I am looking for some input on which to get, MITS, SONY, or Panasonic??? Or wait until the next generation of receivers come out???
Thanks,
..Corn

Thats about what I get
91 on 101 and
68 on 119
Don't have the one for 110 hooked up.
I bought the Panasonic, it has some extras I liked and you don't have to sub to get it:)

You've got a cleaner shot to the satellite I'm sure... :)
Since you own the Panasonic have you experienced any menu slow downs at all, I've heard it suffers from painfully slow menus... Could you also tell me if the card slot is in the front or rear of the receiver..
I think I am swinging towards the Panasonic as well... I have heard the Sony unit has more performance issues and you have to be subscribed to DTV to get updates for the reciever to fix problems...
:R

I got 90 on 101 and 80 on 119. I have a Mitsubishi SRHD5. I love it. I heard Sony is good too. So I recommend neither Mits or Sony.

Well I hacked some trees out of the way and that seemed to help a little bit... high 80's on 101 and low 60's on 119.. I have the SAT C Kit and I still get nothing on transponder 8... Is anyone having an issue like this??? The SAT C Kit has transponders 8, 10, 12....
Exactly how many channels does DTV have in HD... 2 or 3???????

I have Sony B55's and a Sony B1. I love Sony receivers nut my friend works at a high end a/v store and said there are audio sync probs with the HD Sony's.

I Have RCA HDTV and a HDTV TV, I get signal stregth 80's on 101, and 119. The only HDTV channels available are 199 which is a HDTV demo channel and HBOH that's it. Once in awhile a sport is transmitted in HDTV. I have not tried the 110, I dont think dtv is transmitting anything on 110 yet, are they ?
Let me know if they are I will get another LNB ASAP.

Thanks for the replys... I've since looked up some more stuff and it seems the SONY has issues, that audio sync problem seems to be a big one.. Lots of people talking about that....
The 110 LNB, well it says some locals are broadcast on that.. Hard for me to say if it works.. I know I only get signal on 2 out of the 3 transponders.... I hope the # of HDTV channels increases soon....
Thanks,
..Corn
