have been emulating w/ success for over 4 months w/ mits.hd500 receiver-now all channels but 199 and 509 are garbled- almost the same effect as the look you get when a big rainstorm is just beginning-vertical lines. picture is still viewable-3 year old doesnt mind! but dad is pissed!!! have checked all connections inside and outside- cable tv and over the air broadcasts are fine. replaced hd500 w/ old rca and pic was fine. what do i replace? multiplexor, lnb, receiver? everything points to receiver- just want to know if anyone else has seen this?-lots of baseball in hdef this week so i need to fix this today - thanx for any insight or help.

I have had the same thing happen, only with OTA broadcasts. Its almost always indication of loss of signal somewhere. I'm sure you've probably checked your transponders and signals on both birds and swithched them with the same result. Checked the coax for any cuts or rubs showing. Have you tried veiwing in non-hd format or using s-vid hook up. Hate to think new ird!!!.but.....
Good Luck!!

I have the RCA DTC 100 and mine did the same thing. If I click it back and forth from HDTV channels to regular channels it takes a few times but it will come back. I got sick and tired of it doing that so I sent it to the shop. It would also stay locked in the letterbox mode. That could screw up the TV so away it went.
