is their a minimum strenght i need to have to be able to watch? i can only possiotion my dish certain ways out of my dorm window here, lol, luckily im faceing the right direction, thanks

:) The stronger the signal (%) the better the picture quality.
Try to get a least 70% or higher.

yeah but try to get the upper 80's and into the 90's, mine dont go under 85 even in a storm

Different receivers have different "standards". That is, a 75 on a Sony is not the same "75" on an RCA. My experience with RCAs is that 30 is about as low as will register on the meter. You could cinceivably have a 22 signal strength and your system will still read "0 signal, rotate 3 degrees".
I have actualy seen pictures with the strength as low as like 35 (I think if a bird flew by it would pixillate though ;) )
