C'mon trekkies, what did you think of the 1st show?? I thought it was at least entertaining, but they glossed over quite a few details such as, I understand that the interpreter has a very keen ear, but she seemed to master Klingon in the first hour of the show, when a week before she didn't even know what a Klingon was, let alone their culturehopefully they give us more detail in future shows, NG it's not but it beat most of the junk on Weds. night

What did you guys think??

It has potential, but they need to LOSE that damn cornball
theme song :D I think it's going to be a good show in the long run, after the characters are developed, but I think the hardcore TNG fans will view it much like they did DS9 and Voyager. I've watched all of them, and enjoyed all of them in different ways and for different reasons. As I said in an earlier post on this topic: Even the slowest episodes of DS9 or Voyager (and, yes, there were a few ) were better than having to endure even one episode of most of the s*itcoms and other network garbage out there. :D

It has potential. Go back and watch a few of the first episodes of TNG and you will see that it takes a while for the characters to gel

I will give it a season before passing judgement. Its already better than Andromeda :)

Oh yeah. I think the Vulcan chick is hot.

I liked it. I hope they have good writers and continue to provide us with great STAR TREK stories as before. I was pleased to hear that Scott Bakkula was staring as the captain. I always like him in Quantum Leap. Star Trek is my favorite show and the whole reason for me getting into this hobby was to get Voyager. It was not available to me by no legitimate means at all. Hope this one does well, for us trekkies need our weekly dose.

Did everyone experience the signal brief dropout in the second hour?

And what sort of weapons were they firing at the bad-guys ships? They didn't show the command to fire...

The farmer at the beginning used a "plasma rifle" - so did the Enterprise fire plasma balls?? - they mention plasma coils as weapons in the transporter room. Or do they fling snowballs?

And where's the deflector dish?? Shields are called "plates"??

First regular episode was OK. I think it's gonna be alright. Only problem is that I was such a big Quantum Leap fan that I keep expecting Al to show up. :)

I missed the first episode but managed to catch the second one. It looks promising from what I saw. The language lady is kinda whiny, & the vulcan chick is really bithcy, but what do you expect, they look good. I'll give it a 2 1/2 out of 4.
