Ok I got this dish open box. I'm not sure how to hook it up. I have the dish ready with the 2 dual LNB's mounted to "A" and "B" with the 2 leads coming from each LNB to the multiswitch. The multiswitch has 4 outputs and since I have 2 receivers I would guess I will be using output 1 and 2. I'm not sure why but I appear to have 2 multiswitches... 1 looks like it is to be mounted outside and the other looks like the same thing but it appears to be an inside box.
I am running 2 4th gen receivers and I would like to take advantage of the extra channels on the other satellite.... do I need to do anything else or am I missing anything? Is there something to look for in programming when I get it all mounted to tell me I have it tuned to the right spot? If someone could give me some help I would appreciate it.

sounds like you gota extra multiswitch for free !
mine have 4 innies and 4 outies !
the innies x-over for some reason but they are marked clearly,4 facing down, then you have 4 more f connectors,2 left and 2 right ?

If I hook up a 5th gen receiver with a 4th gen receiver for A and B I will get 900's off one and get the other sat off the 5th gen right? Whats the best thing to do use 4th with the 900's or 5th with the extra sat?... I assume I will not get all the locals with the 5th gen even though it will get the other sat....Please let me know.

cubbie is correct
4th gen wont switch,5th gen will.
if you have to have all the channels in 1 room, you need a 1-4 and a 5th gen with the 18x24 dish and a multiswitch.
not to mention a LOT of wire and cable
