I've got a plus receiver and 2 round dishes. I've been trying to exclusively line up the 119 sat by hooking up receiver to the one dish and aligning it up but to no avail. The 101 is already lined up to a non plus receiver so I only have to figure out the 119. I even got out my Dish receiver to align the 119 sat so I know I'm in the right spot but can't lock on DTV's 119 (absolutely no reading.) Do I have to instal the switch in order for the receiver to recognize the 119? I was trying to save that step for last once I found 119. I live just outside Halifax, Nova Scotia. Can I even tune in 119? Any ideas?

I just went through this problem over the last week. Here in NJ my Sony Dish is pointed at the 119. The elevation is said to be 24 degrees. When you look at the dish it appears to actually be pointing a little down. From Nova Scotia your elevation is less than mine. Are you sure there is nothing in the way? I had to cut down part of a tree. I now get a 50 % Signal. Good enough in nice weather. I will be raising it up soon to try to increase the signal.
Check your angles, and your line of sight.

The DTV 119 is in exactly in the same location as the Dish 119. If you line up the 119 using your Dish IRD you can connect that lnb to your DTV IRD and it will be there. I am using one dual LNB pointed at the 119 which is running into a 2 in 4 out powered multiswitch 2 outputs of this multiswitch are running into my 8900 switch for DTV plus and one into a SW-21 for Dish. I can watch channels on the DTV 119 and the Dish 119 at the same time off of the same LNB.

If you have found the 119 sat with your Dish receiver then just hook up your DTV multiswitch and your DTV + receiver, go into your receiver's setup menu's and set dish type for oval dish with 2 lnb's and your receiver should be locked on.
