with the death of napster, i've been searching for a viable alternative. I'm currently using limewire, which seems to suck as bad as all the others i've tried. so i'm open for suggestions...don't let me have this second 60 gig hard drive go to waste, i still have 51 gig to fill with, hopefully, free music!

Would rather spend the money and listen to music that sounds good....The sound quality of an MP3 is terrible....Just a personal preference, I have speant a pile on audio equipment, I like to get the most out of it.......

Then, there is my prefernce for vinyl, but we don't need to get into that (I'm not as bad as I used to be since I got a new CD player)

Thanks for the offer :)
I'm not a great fan of Metal, (well some of it is ok, as long as it doesn't involve big hair ).........
I've got around 4k already, all I would want to do is cherry pick what you have, wouldn't be worth your effort, unless you already have a list compiled.............

Yeah, right on Tdonn, another audiophile into satellite hacking....agree MP3s suck, although they are ok for non-serious listening, like when reading stuff on the pirates den via ADSL connection...the 800 channels on DirecTV are ok, can't beat the price :)

OH boy I'm gonna get slammed for this but, MP3's are pathetic. I have a decent home system and I refuse to play MP3's on it, as my good sounding system, sounds real bad with most MP3's. Yes I have heard a couple of good ones but most have been junk. I have tried them all at 128 to 320 and most are crap. After Napster died and I became convinced that MP3's need to get better, I never installed another file sharing program.

You can trade all kinds of file on it not only mp3 ,I must be half deaf or just plain stupid but mp3s sound good to me , much better than cassete format and the for free part kicks ass , i back up all of any audio cds i can borrow from friends , I am using music match and it is super easy .

I am an mp3er :)
