I can't sem to find 119, just like everyone else is having a problem with. I understand there is a satellite at 119, 110, and 101. i guess B, C, and A in that order. i'm using the oval dish with that little junction box that mounts on the back side. I thought i found Sat A (101) but i couldn't find Sat B (119). i thought maybe my LNB was bad so swithed them but what i didn't realize is that i also switched the inputs...i put the LNB Sat marked A, 101 ( which i was getting the signal on ) into the LNB jack marked Sat B, 119. when i went in to check signal strength again i had lost my sat A signal and for the heck of it checked B and there is was...when i change the dish type to oval with sat C access it says i'm getting a signal there as well.??? I did a little searching and my understanding is that the receiver cannot distinguish between satellites. Is that correct? Is what i'm seeing on Sat B actually Sat A??? How can i tell the difference beteen 101 and 119? will only sat 119 carry the HD signals or channels? I am also using the Mits. 65908. if that means anything....This thing is driving me crazy!!!! AAAAAAHHH!!!

Any help would be excellent! and thanks in advance.

Should be easy to tell if you are on 101 Sat. by looking and seeing what channels you have coming in when you get a signal. It has a lot more channels than the other Sats. Preview channels at 100, 200, 500 and such. Also you can check your transponder signal strength. Sat. 119 only uses a few transponders in the 20 - 30 range.

so what your saying is that when i check the transponder strength for the 119 sat, and there are usually 6 or so, since i get a response that means i'm getting my B sat? and if i check transponder strength for the 101 sat, and they are all responding, i'm getting my A sat????
i thought i had them both today but i'm still having a problem with 509 and 199.
i have and extra dish so i seperated the A and B LNB's and put them on seperate dishes...each dish is deffinately pointing a few degrees off from each other so i must be receiving 2 signals....DTV told me to call them tomorrow...i am actually subscribing right now, but i was having better luck with my H before....

later.

If you are still subscribing it may be difficult to tell until DTV "hits" your card for the channels on the 119. I think there is a free feed on the 119 that says something like Welcome to Direct TV's newest Satellite or something to that effect. I beleive I seen it in the 400's somewhere if I'm not mistaken. You should be able to see that. Sound like you may have found the 119 from what you are saying.
Though you may have hit the 110. I know nothing about that Satellite. The 119 is 18 degrees to the right and lower down than the 101.
Good luck.

I don't know if this will help or not. When you installed your dish, did you tilt it about 10 deg counter clockwise? When I first installed my dish I couldn't get any signal until I tilted the dish. If you have the dish straight up and down it can't read the other satellite. I got this info off DTV's site. Good luck.
