airplane ecm zapping
I heard from my brother's friend's mom's dad's brother that they zap you by flying a plane over and zapping the satellite? Is this true? If they were going to do this, they would have to fly across a lot of places? is ther some way to hide the dish so the plane will not see it ?so it will not ecm my dish? ********************************************************************* *****THIS GUY WAS FOR REAL,THE POST THAT CAME AFTER WAS SO FUNNY!!!!!
THE BASHING HE GOT WAS SO FUNNY...(I WAS CRYING)**********************

If you paint your dish the same color as shingles on your roof, this will enable you to remain ECM free as the little plane can not tell the difference. I have tried this method and it works.

But what about the "Santa Claus Attack"?
Using it they could hit every roof in one night and find them.

Well, I put 50 dishes on my roof. Only one of them is actually connected though. That way I have 49 dummy dishes, and they'll never be sure if they hit the right one.

So far, it's been very effective too. I HIGHLY recommend this method.

I got me a big (8ft) dish and painted it brown and put it in the back yard. Then I surrounded it with 12 18in dishes painted yellow. Got a real problem with bees, but no ECMs.

Zcubed, wait till they use the magic dust! I think Santa Claus is a Communist, he does wear a red suit! And what is in that pipe he's smoking? And he sneaks in houses late at night.
And the head games he pulls on kids, don't make me go there!

I have another dish located right next to my dss dish. I wired up one of those new radar jammers they sell to stop the cops radars into it. I replaced the lnb with the radar element. So far it seems to work. No ecm's here anymore. One slight problem is that any birds that fly within 30 feet of it get microwaved. My neighbors always seem to have a concerned look on their face when the birds flying by start smoking. Kind of funny watching them grab their kids up and run inside. It ain't that big a deal is it? I know it isn't eco friendly but DTV forces me to use these drastic measures. Of course there was this one day, an endangered Whooping Crane decided to perch on a limb that put it right in the line of site of that radar. I don't want to say anything incriminating but lets just say, I had to dispose of the evidence. Interesting taste, whooping crane. Kind of a cross between a snow goose and mallard. Serves well with a good dry white wine and rice pilaf though :D. Let's face it, there are hobbiest who won't let DTV get the upper hand, then there are free tv'ers. Free tv'ers take any ole ECM that comes along. Not me!

Fordruid,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! I completely forgot about the magic dust. Thanks to your early warning, I can start working on the "sunflower setup" that you have. Hopefully the bees won't be so bad this time of year. Just to be safe, I may "plant" a field of sunflower dishes with the spares from my roof.

TC, fill the bird bath with barbeque sauce. That way, the ones that make it that far become "self basting"
And having the neighbours respect you is a good thing:D

Yeah, that whooping crane ain't too bad. It kinda reminds me of barbecued baby seal, but not quite as chewy.

I should have thought of that bbq in the birdbath thing myself! Great Idea!

I would rather rather have spotted owl, more dark meat on those, but they are hard to come by down here. You gotta KNOW someone.

You guys are giving out all the tough ones.(Dave will eventually catch up to you).
I just mount my mini dish on the inside of my house and watch cable TV. Dave hasn't ECMed me in years ;)
I call it "housillation" cause I occasionally run into the dish with my vaccuum.

;) I'll have to give you guys credit for all this Ideas I never thought about all this. However, a bit of technology might help. My set-up consist of a custom made dish. It's made of Stealth material same as the F117. It's also motorized, so during signal changes it can colapse. Since I put a couple branches in the back it just looks like a tree when operated. Also for those that understand bandwith, as the cable gets closer to the reciever I use thinner cable to reduce the bandwith and only allow the video/audio signal to come in, and not the ECM.

ALL YOU NEED IS A GREEN SAT CONDOM AND JUST COVER (HA HA HA )IT KEEP'S ALL THE ECM'S OUT !! IF YOU STILL ARE NOT SURE CALL IN THE ARMY GARDS SO THEY CAN STAND OVER IT AND WATCH FOR DAVE'S PLANE'S,THIS WORK'S WILL JUST LOOK AT THE WHITEHOUSE(SNICKER SNICKER):D :D :D

Not to worry folks........
I have just been waiting for the proper time to release my latest and greatest ecm proof dish. I am selling them on ebay right now. They have a very low reserve bid of only $139.00. I accept paypal and billpoint. I guarantee that these newest dishes will 100% protect your dish from any current or future ecm!! When I get a minimum of 250 orders I will begin shipping them out, so please don't wait, I only have 1 warehouse right now and they can only stock 500 of these at a time for me. Future shipments are not guaranteed as I was having these custom made for me in Afghanistan. I have been in contact with my source and he trying to get as many as he can on the next c-130 that will be coming back our way. But that could take awhile...... so please don't hesitate.

Thanx! :gg

i dont know why but daves method off the continet must be a little different .... here he has a flock of highly trained attack pigeons that will sh*t so much on your dish you have to clean it nearly everyday , this is called the "cleaning" ecm . nothing to do with cleaning the cards at all , but the frequent dish cleaning cause a "hashing" of video and audio (if you are outside you cant see or hear the tv :) ) best protection against this ecm is to put your dishes low to the ground and have lots of cats

Don't you know.....we can't put dishes up.....after all, all that ice and snow....we can't aim them over the 20ft high snowdrifts that we have 11 months of the year......;) That's our protection....looking at nice new dishes still in the box! :D

puff, puff and puff, these things happen when you puff to much. I watch a movie recently that had someone thinking he was followed by planes. Maybe this is true. (Yeah Right).

Wonder how much you can buy a scratch and dent SAM system from Iraq these days?, just make sure the plane is not directly over your dish at the time you let it rip..

You know, I was getting ready to make a cool reply, with a picture made of all kinds of junk, and I found the weirdest thing. There really is something to hide your dish. Its called Dish-rock.

Just put the www and .com I'm not selling them, and wouldn't buy one either but I thought I had seen it all...until now.
