I was wondering if I could hook up a HDTV receiver to my computer monitor? My monitor has separate R G B hook ups. And would the picture show in true high definition? Just curious. Any info would be appreciated. PEACE

This should work. I have used Computer monitors on VHS recordings before, therefore, unless there is an issue with the update rate of the monitor, you should be able to do this.

What type of receiver do you have? I have the RCA hd receiver and it has a VGA output that the monitor connected to and the picture was picture perfect.

pwherman, I don't have one yet because I do not have a HD TV. But I can get a killer deal on the RCA. And now that I know that you can hook it up to a monitor, I think I'll get it. But will it show in true high definition?

With RCA DTC100 you can hook it up to any progressive device, a projector, a computer monitor or a plasma screen. It is always best to have a multisync device, since fixed scan rate devices (old old kind) may not support the receivers scan rate output. Plus, with multisync sevices you can adjust the aspect ratio.
