I guess it is time to try some of the tricks and see if they work? I was worried because I have never put a hu cam Id on And h card and hope that I dont mess up! Do you know where I would be able to get the info on the hu cam swap?
Thanks,

Unless you want to be farting around with it all of the time, I would recommend that you emulate. Just my .02

Ok, but will it work with this system? will the h be able to be run with the "plus" system? I have a non bs h running right now and is in a old receiver. Can I use this card? Or can I use a bs h card also? Has anyone used the new "cube" system to emu? and will it work in the hd100 system?
Thanks for all the replys for all I do most of the time is read the posts! Maybe I must missed alot of them on this subject.

Mini cubes are by no means "testing" equipment. They are for lazy people who don't want to learn how to do things for themselves. They are "plug and play" units that require no effort at all, and are only for free tv'ers, not testers.
Before these “cubes” emulation took a little knowledge and some time. A lot of people just want free TV with as little time and effort as possible; this has kept the number of people running emulator’s low. I would not be surprised if DTV increases their effort to stop emulation now that any lazy goofball with a credit card can emulate.
I hope PGM has a way to eliminate these “cubes” so emulation may last a little longer.

I agree with what you are saying. But, nonetheless, the mini version of an emulator is an impressive package. i.e. sfsinfinite version of the ultra super duper minier than a cube, emulator. For crying out loud, it's the size of the card itself...wow.
BUT, IT'S NOT THERE SOFTWARE (EMULATION) TO DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH IT AND I AGREE 200% WITH PGM IT'S EITHER FREEWARE OR PAY SOME KIND OF ROYALTIES. Otherwise, SFSINFINITE come off as moochers. And we all know where moochers will be when emulation 3.1 dies (and it will)... out mooching for help from the creator... PGM.

I agree about the royalties that should be paid to "PGM". People who own "high definition receivers and tvs" like their audio/visual centers to look clean and organized. By using the cube it will visually impact the "look" of your display because of the obtruse computer right next to the t.v. If I have an "H" would I still need to change the cam ID to an HU ? And if so, can anyone tell me the instructions on how to do this? Can I use basic H 32? Would this be the only way around the "plus problem"?
Appreciate all the information. Thanks, Bigman73

Bigman73,I found this give it a go,anyone know a different way please reply
HU extreme latest version 1.63. Read HU card. Save original bin. Click on EEPROM menu, CAM/ZKT tools, Save ZKT for H. Fire up Basic H 32. Click on configuration menu, under user mode choose expert.Load valid H bin of your choice. Click on image patch icon (Intel Hex)File, select HU Cam ZKT image that you had created. Click on ZKT icon.It should say the ZKT is valid for cam # xxxxxxxxxx. The xxxxxxx should be the cam # of the HU EEPROM file. Save the bin #. It's ready to load on your H card. Hope this helps ...............drummond
