Earlier this morning I talked to my friend from the World Wrestling Federation and she gave me the full details on the Directv/WWF fiasco. First off there is still NO deal between Directv and the WWF as they are still in talks but are stalling in which ways revunues should be split. However the WWF has two contracts with Directv one that is residential and one that is commercial. The contract that expired was the residental contract. So that's why the WWF No Mercy pay-per-view was aired Sunday on channel 592 because it was part of the WWF Blast Area package avalible to Directv Commercial bars/restraunt clients. The Commercial agreement with the many bars and restraunts has over 2 and a half years left on that contract and is far more lucrative than the residential subscriber contract that they're bickering over. Bars and Restraunts pay over $4500 for the 12 pay-per-views from Directv and that has Not been affected so you guys will still be able to see WWF Survivior Series on November 18th and many future pay-per views on channel 592. She also said that Channel 592 is the exclusive channel for bars and restraunts to recieve their pay-per-view events and channel 101 is for residential Directv users.
