The new Sony HD-100 is working OK with my new Hitachi 53" wide HDTV.
I am not getting the HDTV signal as I have the 18" dish pointed to 110 degrees. If I want the HDTV signal what do I have get, like oval dish pointed to 119 degrees. Also, what software modification is required for proper emulation?? Please advise.
Thanks

If you want HD reception and regular reception, you will then require an eliptical dish that comes with two LNB's. This dish comes with the
"ALL IMPORTANT MULTISWITCH". (can be purchased separately)
Hook up the HD line to the regular dish and point to 119 sat.
Hook up the regular programming line to the eliptical dish at the notch for the 110 sat.(There are three placements on the elip dish.
(101/110/119)). The 101 is for the local programs avail. in some locations. All your lines go into and then out of the multiswith to your tv. All channels come up in order and if one is HD it will play that station (199 and 509).
I never had any software mods??

Hi bballfreak,
Actually there is another BETTER way to do it. You leave the normal dual LNB dish pointed at 101, not 110. Then you install a new dish at 119 for the HDTV option plus other stuff. Now install the multi switch and you will find that two dishes like this will get a BETTER signal strength on 119 than the oval dish. It works the same and the multi switch connects the same. But don't try 110 because you wont get much there, the normal signal is on 101.
And 199 and 509 are HDTV now and 901 is being prepared for HDTV too. Right now it duplicates 199 most of the time but new stuff will be coming there too.
Anyhow the 2 dish solution is preferred and is less expensive than the oval dish and gets a stronger signal to boot because each dish can be adjusted independently and perfectly.

I tested out my notebook with 2 com ports on older Sony receiver and emulates OK when I exit to MS DOS from Windows 98. The phoenix programmer is Vector UL Pro.
However, I also have a Sony SAT-HD100 (HDTV receiver) and when I tried to run sle44e (w/ Vector UL pro) it just sits there and does not give me any kind of ATR. I also bought X loadrer from RRtechnology and it does with that either. The sle44e.cor file is of HUCard given to my friend in order to work with HDTV receiver. This file was working fine for 1 month until I got a message "Aux card was not detected). I unauxed the card, cleaned and auxed it back.
It works OK with older Sony receiver but just sits there with HDTV receiver. I do not get any kind of ATR even with the old valid .cor file which is from a valid H bin.
I need some help for the following:
1. I have 2 HU cards , one says Call cusomer service, and other says it is expired. Is my notebbok causing a problem?? It does not work with working old .cor or Hu .cor file with HDTV receiver. Notebook works OK with older Sony receiver.
2. Is there a problem with .cor file of my friend's HU card??
3. Do I need to create a new .cor file from my HU card. Whcih one should I use, one says expired or call customer service?
4. How do I flash the HU loader on this new X-loader. Exactly step by step as I don't want to mess it up.
5. Right now the X-loader works with BS Hcard which is in the repair mode with red flashing fast.
Please help!!
Thanks
