I just don't get it anymore. I have been doing this testing thing for three years. There was a time when you could ask a question and some one would help you. Now there is some type of elitetes darwinism thing going on here. I see alot of flaming and alot poeple debasing other posters. Where did the love go? We all started out knowing nothing asking stupid questions. Have we all forgotten about the h updates and the first call ext 745's. Or after black sunday when everybody got the reset failed message. It was the "true smart" people that brought us back. All these people sounding like that know everything but they are still using the same programs that everyone else is using. I am honestly starting to belive that Dave has won because he is making us fight each other. Dave has made this about money and not about him. The power of websites like these and other types of hacking sites is that they bring people together no matter where they are or who they are or what they look like. We are working to together to show greedy corporations that you do not have control over us. I know this sounds corny but I have to ask everyone something. How many people here have written a 3m script and posted it? How many people knew what a eeprom image was before coming here?
How many people here helped write emulations programs? How many people here helped develop winexplorer or basic? If you are not one of these people then you should not be debasing anyone. Because without these people you would be just like me or all the newbies that are coming here for the first time, PAYING FOR TV.

First of all, i don't remember anyone around here saying i love you.
But, in a ghetto way, you do have a point, people have been less likely to help each other lately.
People do come here for help, and help should be given.

No its not true. You get flamed looking for the "free script". Now that DAVE hashes everything, its no longer a great idea to be giving out the toys. They get destoyed instantly. That along with stolen scripts and people claiming code is thiers without acknowledging the creators is what has created this.

This is now going back to a hobby. If you are interested in how the card works, how to write your own code, etc...ask reasonable questions regarding this and you will feel the "love". However, if you go out asking for what works and what is the next kewl script and if you can have a private 3M...you will probably get flamed.

New rules for new games with Dave.

clipgrip, i totally agree with you!! exaclty what you said should be heard!!! all over the dss community!! the love is here as well as quite enough info to make your own 3m!! if people only knew the power of reading!! they'd get alot farther than they see themselve's right now!! cause this is what really flames me.. a majority not all but majority sell Freeware!!! and claim to be so called experts!! this is what flaims me alot! then they come here asking about the next 3m or private 3m etc... and i speak only to lamers!! there's enough info to learn how to make your own Private 3m!! Don't be Lazy!! do what you shoulda done from the begining!! read read read... if you look hard enough it's practically smacking you in the face all along!! every place you need to look is not further then these forums and member downloads!!

Again no offence to the ones who trully have the desire and are sincere with themselves!! peace

Yeah I understand what both of you are saying. But this site and others like it were built on shareware programs. I do not believe the rules have changed untill the Canadian gonvernment makes them illegal. Then I can see why some one would not want share a program because it woul be then be illegal. If it is just about watching tv there would be no bickering. But now everybody wants to make buck. So we are no diffent then dave. It is all about the money and that will be our undoing.

We are flaming and getting mad at each other cause newbies that come just want answers without even try to go and use the search botton. They just want to get there 598 and leave with no repect. That's why most of us get mad seeing questions that's been answered over and over again. Until we are sick of seeing it. Our angry raise because of that...

yep, its all about the money now. have you taken a look at the classifieds section in your local paper? have you gone to your local electronics store lately? everybody and their mother is either selling, programming or trying to make a buck off this bandwagon somehow. i wouldn't be surprised if there are more dtv and dishnet systems in use in canada than b*** and st**ch****. when you are dealing with numbers like this, the scammers and other losers come out of the woodwork, and start leeching and acting obnoctious. i totally believe in open source and what not, but look at where it has gotten us - dave has every script we have, and now thousands of geeks have them too. its time for even less love. sad but true, we need to raise the bar a little, we need to fill these forums and irc with people willing to push this hobby further, not with those holding it back.

I stopped giving love when my code had the header removed and repl;aced with someone elses name. Then again when my code was stolen and pasted all over the net with someone elses name again. I think most of the code writers agree that you will get nothing from us again that you cant do your self.

I remember the good old H days too,we all shared and shared
alike. The said the HU card would not be CRACKED for 4 or 5 years,
Just like now the say there will be no HU UNLOOPER.!,But there is.
It has got'n lazey and hastey, but it has made more people learn to
write there own script.LOVE yes ol love thats what it needs,,,but
the ol mighty $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ will always be worth more... Thats what
will kill us all sooner or later..?? Happy TESTING.

All the "LOVE" has started finding new sites to go to. I am a paid member here along with several other. I have found that there are fewer and fewer people here who are willing to help out each other. There seems to be alot of people who think they know it all and instead of either anwsering your question or staying quiet they deceide to to flame someone. Many other sites are willing to help someone learn to write a private or semi private script. Here its a fin for yourself additude. To each his own... I just know the people who once were helping people have moved to other sites because even if you help someone you may get flamed. Seems like we starting to write scripts to hurt each other instead of finding way to fight Dave. The shift has moved towards the dealers side where everyone wants the all mighty dollar. But that will change in time. Once people start leaving the dealer sites and start going to the sites where you can ask a question where you dont get bombed with all the smart#as comments. Im sure i will get flamed for this post but that just goes to show.....Sometimes the truth hurts.

I know that even all the "Know it all" posters would be nothing if not for a selective few who write the great programs to program the cards and others (Ram,AOL...ect) who help them out each and every day....For free....without any flaming.
