Ever play Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon?

I don't stay up on PC games, but this one ROCKS! Best first person shooter I have ever played, mostly because it is Army Recon type stuff, very realistic, and I believe they are using enviornment mapping for the charecters, if you have a pretty fast Video card and a decent system, go to gamespot and download the demo, I think it is about 100 meg, so a fast connection will help too. But go get it if you like Army games, I can't get very far, but the sniper in the company is COOOOL, he is all decked out in sniper garb, and can lie in wait and zoom in and POW! very very cool game. Let me know if you know it, I am actually thinking on paying for the whole thing.

quaddawg...I haven't tried this one yet but I have been spending way to much time on Operation Flashpoint. This one is to cool as well. Sounds like the same sort of thing...You can do multiple things such as drive a tank, fly a gunship, drive cars, sniper, multiple weapons...Real cool...I'm gonna DL the full version (I mean demo) of that Ghost Recon tonight and check it out...

I don't think you can drive stuff on this one, but I heard the graphics were better, I don't know as I haven't played Flashpoint, but I am going to check it out too.

Ghost recon is Da BOMB DIGGITY!! I wipe my a$$ with all those other games now. 6 men you can split up between 3 teams, alpha,bravo,charlie. Demolitions,sniper rifles, silencers, grenaded,grenade launchers, machine guns. It's awesome. Also, I like that you can bring up a window that lets you command your troops in real time. You can also take command of any of the 6 men at any time. The graphics are great, gameplay is top notch, and the fact that you can't control the vehichles doesn't matter, there's plenty to keep you busy!! I shot a guy from a distance with a silenced pistol, then with my sniper scope, I watched him crawl on his belly to get help!! COOL!!

I bought this the day it came out....well I didn't buy it but i was there for the purshasing (hey..i am a college student, what the hell you want from me, damn NCAA says i cannot work...).....much better then R6 or Rouge Spear, but it is very graphic intesinve. Got it to work on my vodoo3 though through so intensive driver searching (damn Direct X 8!!!) but it is definitly worth the cash if you are into paying for things like that....

I went ahead and bought it on the "bay got it for $30.00, I guess it isn't too bad to pay for software sometimes! LOL.


I am still wrapped up in the demo! I play it on 1600x1200 at full detail, it runs fine. I can't believe the detail on this game!



AMD XP at 1575 with a GeForce3 certainly helps the gameplay though.
