Just a warning for canadian dealers and people dealing with dtv dishes and access cards.. This morning around 8pmest a man drove in my lane way in a red grand prix wearing a red coat.. He approached my door and I ran out at him LOL.. he alsmot ---- his pants but anyways when I asked what the hell he wanted he asked me if I sold satellite dishes.. his red coat collar was covering something that ended in vu.. when he lifted his arm it said bellexpressvu on his jacket.. he noticed me looking at this and quickly started backing up.. I said "no I do not sell satellites so please get off my property".. I aksed him how the hell he got my address he said he read it in a local paper. I said "well buddy I never put my address in the paper so you must have gotten it in another way".. he then backed off and left.. needless to say this is not good as I dont deal with bell anyways as it is illegal.. but it appears one day after the court hearings they may be looking into all dealers and getting ready to setup raids.. scared the ---- out of me so I have moved all my equipment out! he also checked out my satellite dish which says RCA haha.. but this could get serious if they raid my house im looking for adivse and possible help with finding an adequate lawyer
thanks

Could of been a "sales rep." who figures he'll get the jump on re-stocking your shelves with X-Puke goods. he! he!
They've read [something into] the Supreme Court hearing "different" than others, obviously. - eh!
I wouldn't be surprise alot of "publicized" DSS dealers will be getting visits from "rep.s"; to "explain" that BEV is making an offer to "swap" American units for X-Pukes'; and, one should grab it now! Hmmmmm! I think that routine was launched a few years back, anything to get the PUBLIC CONFUSED about the future of FREEDOM of CHOICES when it comes to Satellite TV!

You may be 100% correct but he never offered any bell services just asked if I sold satellites and that he seen my ad in the paper..It was not a comfortable situation and I asked him to leave so I didnt give him a chance to ask me if I wanted to buy or swap for bell systems.. I wouldnt want bell anyways who the hell does!

Were you selling CDN Stuff if so you are doing an illegal act and I would get out of that business right now.
Doing that in Cdn is nuts. They love to find ppl doing it so they can make big paper time.

COOL! :D J'ia lives in Ontario, too! Close to the Town known as the "BIG TOMATO CAPITAL" LOL! [P.S.- That's the limit of my French! - eh!].
I am apt to beleive that X-Puke's sales-reps. are "banking" small dealers will "panic" and "Do the Deal!".
"denverb2b" should of invited him in and "offer" a coffee; and, the "pleasure" to see what a REAL SAT. System does. he! he!

It is not "against the law 'til it is written!". And, the "jury" [aka -the SC Judges, in this case.] are still "OUT!!" - eh!
And, they can only make a decision on "what" is already WRITTEN!
So, "relax"; "share"; "enjoy"; and, "have patience"...which your "CHARTER of RIGHTS and FREEDOM of CHOICES" allow you to live by...at least, THEY ARE WRITTEN!" - he! he!

FWIW, BEV dishes and lnb's work just fine with dtv systems... the only difference is you point the dish in a little different direction.
one guy i know who watches dtv in canada was concerned what his neighbors / local constabulatory would think if they saw his dtv dish, so he got a bev dish...

Technically that wouldn't matter as you are still using equipement to contravene section nine of the RC Act if we lose at the Supreme Court.

Howdy, "cavegoon"!
Actually, BEV's X-Puke uses US DishNetwork's Hardware. Totally, identical. - eh!
Alot of reasons why Canadian's are against X-Puke over the Canadian StarChoice is that they're "pissed" at BEV for causing all this political hassle, BEV's been responsble for [ that's what I hear, anyways!]! Personally, they're "both" cable-on-a-dish, not much more.
DirecTv has about the "BEST" set-up going.

"technically", i completely agree with you...
"practically", if "grey market" dtv service in canada becomes illegal, the BEV dishes wont "raise eyebrows" to passers by as much as a dtv dish would...

The dish points in the wrong direction but I wouldn't worry about it. :)
