"Tombstone" starring Kurt Russell & Val Kilmer as Wyatt Earp & Doc Holiday is the best western movie I've seen.

Blazing Saddle was not a true Western. It was a parody and a comedy. It was making fun of westerns.
Modern movies I would have to go with True Grit. Older Westerns, maybe that one done by famous director and I think it was called Stagecoach. So many good old westerns it is impossible to pick one and if I did, its hard to remember the name of it. :)

Well,
I have to agree with Billy on this one.:K
There are just to many Classics, it would be hard to choose, one thing I can say is that I never cared for the Spagetti Westerns.
The Good,The Bad &The Ugly was ok but after that, they got boring.

John Wayne westerns are classics, however I'm of the Eastwood generation...But my all time favorite wester would have to be
Young Guns. Here you get plenty of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms.

While on the subject of Clint..........
The Unforgiven...That would get my vote, only because of the monumental feat accomplished by making a western that recently that could be placed up there with the other great ones.....Truely impressed with that movie...........
